Magnificent performer. Calm temperament. Very consistent and decisive defender who is as effective as a centre back as he is as a full back.
Arguably every bit as good as his wee brother. Delighted to have him and he should be the first name on the team sheet every week.

Fast becoming one of my favourite players and a very, very solid performer for us to date. In a similar way to John, he has the ability to pull off some really classy bits of football and shows real composure. Absolute bargain.

Tbh I'd say that's doing him a disservice. He's regularly been our best defender in a few games this season

There was a whole host at fault for the goal. Gogic needed to help Doig, Hanlon expected it drilled/cut back so we 2/3 yards forward, Porteous then covered that by stepping forward, as did McGinn (all three had their men fine when the ball went wide), then Boyle had to tuck in sharper. Just a poor defensive goal all round, not one person solely to blame. Other than that they cut us open once or twice but that’s what you expect from players like Kent and Hagi, on the whole our defence including McGinn were outstanding again.
