Take a bow son. What a brilliant Unexpected option to have for the middle of the park. Brilliant for his goal getting into the box, and got stuck in too. Not sure if he's ever played there before, but more than capable

Superb first half. Looked the most willing to try and play and keep the ball, deserved his goal.

More of that and he'll do just fine round these parts.

He's got a nice eye for a pass, as does Nisbet surprisingly

He'll be a very useful player for us. Looks as if he is willing and capable to fill in wherever he is required.

Best performance in a Hibs shirt by some way. His vision, football brain and passing ability surprised me.

Was very impressed by him today.

Took his goal well and his work rate was excellent. He will be a good asset this season.

Tommy Wright said he was the most naturally gifted player he'd worked with. I think he'll do well at our club. Delighted for him today.

Sorry but again it appears I watched a different game I forgot he was on the pitch in the second half until he was subbed. Great team performance but I can’t say Wright stood out in anyway other than his goal.

Thought he was good in first half from an offensive and defensive aspect. 2nd half he tired, along with Newell. I thought we might have seen McGinn on in second half but can't fault the team or the subs but we do need to continue to realise that we are at our best when offensive with the ball on the deck. Rangers are a very good side but we were dropping way to deep time after time and created pressure on ourselves.

Very comfortable on the ball and covered every blade of glass.

Great eye for a pass and delighted to see him grab a goal, hopefully takes a lot of confidence from it.

I agree I thought every time we got the ball near their box they looked shaky the problem was we did not do it often enough. Whole team competed well today.

I thought he drifted in and out of the game. But the things he did when he was on the ball were generally good.

he would have got grief for a terrible miss if the ball hadn't deflected through the keepers legs

Great performance - him, Boyle and Murphy should cause teams plenty of problems this season and the Nisbet/Doidge partnership is formidable.

Agree as well. The goal is clouding people's opinions - as happened with Slivka a few years ago.

Hoping there is more to come from him than what we've seen so far.

He wasn't totally anonymous in the second half. I remember a killer diagonal ball through to Boyle which even Scott Allan would have been proud of.
