I was just following the text updates, but it seemed like killie were unlucky not to score, but it means Aberdeen have squeezed another 1 0 win.
With the gap opened up to 5th, it's looking likely its going to be a straight fight between us in the league.
Who are their games in hand against?

They really are jammy buggers that we lost Gogic against them. He very well could have been the difference.

It's quite incredible how often they manage to eek out wins like that. I would envy them if it wasn't so mind numbing to watch.

They are literally the worst team in the league to watch, and that is not said with an ounce of exaggeration. 100% genuine
They find a way, but it's never pretty. Must be dull as sh*t to follow week in week out. All for what? To get punted out of Europe at the 1st/2nd time of asking? Haha no thanks.

Tactics - score a goal then hang on to the lead any way possible with dour, dirty football.

They suffocate football. Horrible team to watch and probably why even after being best of the rest for the last few years and in a one team area their coeds are not that great. Not sure if pay to watch that every week

They're masters at scoring first then snuffing out the rest of the match and probably why they'll finish 3rd again.

Sorry, but we can kid ourselves on as much as we like, the truth is we'd be delighted if we could do the same.
It would certainly be a lot more profitable to the club as a whole.

Technical question:!if McCrorie is only on loan and suddenly became a threat to Rangers, could they recall him from his loan?

Surely you bottle it when you choke in a big match against a team you are better than?
Aberdeen usually beat the teams they are better than, snd loase against the teams they are worse than.

It’s telling that despite consistently finishing in the top 3-4 for the past 8 seasons their attendances and season tickets sales continue to fall

You'd assume the uglies are battling it out for first, while ourselves and Aberdeen are in a straight fight for third.
It's a shame, because you associate Aberdeen with (often dirty, but) flair teams, and the current breed under McInnes have settled for the Jambo mold of grind out wins on the teams with lower wage bills and try to compete in one-off's with the OF. As a model for success in Scottish football goes, its pretty effective. It ain't half boring though.

If you had to choose one player who you absolutely could not lose in that game it would have been Gogic. Not sure they would've chosen their goalkeeper.

Not to mention the fact that Zlamal was weak for arguably every goal

McIness is tactically astute and his results against Hibs speak for themselves. He has his team focus on nullifying Hibs offensive players, and he knows if Aberdeen scrape a goal they're unlikely to lose.
Certainly effective tactics, but I don't think many Hibs fans would be able to stomach watching such negative football week in week out.
