Who is going to win the English Premier League?

The 2020/21 English Premier League starts today.

I think that the race to win it will be more open this year, with both Chelsea and Manchester United more competitive. Same with Arsenal, but not sure about Spurs. In the race for the Champions League slots, you would imagine that Wolves and Leicester will be competitive. And what about the new boys Leeds United?

    It should be quite interesting.

As in previous years, there's no "not interested" option. If you're not interested, maybe give this thread an ignore.

My thoughts - you'll imagine that Manchester City will be much better than last season, but I'm not convinced that they have sorted the defence. Whilst Liverpool have been amazing the last two season, I'm not convinced that they'll repeat that this season. So I've gone for Chelsea, as I like some of their signings.

I think Liverpool. I can’t see anyone turning round a 20 odd point gap this season. For me City don’t look that stronger than last season, United neither and I’m not convinced about Solskjaer. Dark horses could be Arsenal. Arteta seems to have something about him and if he’s backed they could be challengers. 4-1 on them finishing top four looks a good bet

Man city probably. Chelsea may be dark horses because going forward they look like they will be good to watch but im not sure about their defence.

Liverpool. Won’t be as much of a walkover as last season but can’t see Man City being good enough defensively to overtake them.

    Manchester Utd.
    Liverpool again SDG.

Was reading on twitter that it's 2671 days ago since Man United won the league. Be a fair chunk more to add to it :-)

Man Utd to push whoever wins it hard.
Everton for a European spot this year.

Chelsea are the value for money bet. I'm not sure Liverpool will be as good as they have been the last 2 seasons.

I'd really like to see Man Utd and Chelsea having made good progress. I don't think another season of Liverpool and Man City being way out in front would be that exciting, but to see Liverpool and Man Utd push each other to the end would be fantastic.

Think it will be tight but voted Liverpool simply as they function so well as a unit
chelsea then Man City and possibly arsenal 4th.

Man City. With the addition of Ake and potentially Koulibaly they will have made their defence stronger.

I think it'll be a lot closer this season. Reckon Liverpool still have the strongest squad, so should do enough to retain it. Top 4: Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal

Should I have added Newcastle United to the list?

Might have well. As good a chance as at least half the teams on the list.

    Good start by Everton.

Not so for one of the Manchester teams!!! Are they really second favourites, going by the Hibs.net poll as of today?

Liverpool look to have strengthened well.

    And a very good manager!

It always surprises me the number of people who still think M Utd can win the league a great time to be bookie 😁

Early days, but not a great start by the Manchester teams!!

Leicester City and Everton have both started well with 9 points from three games. Either Liverpool or Arsenal can join them depending if one of them wins tomorrow night. Aston Villa being the only other team that could also match 9 points from three games, but they've only played one game so far.
