We go with an unchanged 442 from last week with the added bonus of Stevie Mallan returning from injury.

    Stephen O’Donnell makes his debut for Motherwell;

    .........................Carson.............

    O’Donnell....Gallagher.....Mugabi....Lamie......

    ..................O’Hara.....Campbell.......

    Long.................Turnbull..........Seedorf.... ....

    ........................White............

Very strong looking team for Motherwell despite a poor start, this will be a very difficult game imo

Think we need to start 3-5-2 and match up with Motherwell in the middle. The middle of the park is where they are strongest, think it would be dangerous to give them an extra man in there.

Horgan could move into the 10 role. He played there preseason against Celtic and by all accounts was good. Doig and Boyle as wing backs.

    4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 from Motherwell.

Think we might go 3-5-2 so we don’t lose the midfield.

I think it is, don't think with him and Frank's son in goal will be able to keep a clean sheet

O’Donnell can’t be anything near match fit . Hasn’t played any games whatsoever.

Think going 3 at the back will be bit dangerous. Well have 2 very quick wingers.
Play 4 4 2 with Horgan giving doig cover just my opinion folks

I think it goes both ways. Playing 2 in the middle could leave us exposed there. Difficult one.

Yep, tricky problem, both formations have merits. Just have to see how it goes. If one system not working I am sure JR will change to the other.

Early goal to unsettle them. They have only won 1 of their last 13 competitive games.

  23. #23
Personally think it will be 442 to stop their wingbacks, mainly O’Donnell and to give Doig a bit of support.

Our midfield would have to be solid like yous say though if we only had 4 in there and could be risky giving Turnbull extra room to work in.

Unchanged again for the 3rd game in a row? I like it.

  25. #25
    4-0 Hibs Doidge fgs.

Will there be a re-run of the full match on Hibs TV ?

Thought Motherwell looked decent at times against Livingstone in the highlights - we will need to be at our "best" to take all 3 points - looking forward to the game - stupid time for a KO though

Trying to log into Hibspass now. Some sort of problem. Temporary I hope.

Edit: In now. Problem seems to be me trying to get on too early. Had to shutdown laptop to get back on.
