****ing typical Hibs. Good start to the season, three wins in a row, a team that is worth watching. And we can't get into games!!!

What if Hibs are playing so well BECAUSE there’s no crowd?

How much was a pint of beer in 1974?

Miners strike, three day week, power cuts, two general elections, world cup in West Germany, Ford Cortina, three TV channels, incredible haircuts. I wasn't even born, but I remember it well.

I started going in 73, maybe it's my fault?!

That’s an amazing and quite shocking statistic! How many wins on the bounce did we manage at the start of the 74/75 season then? And what’s our record? Might as well aim high😁

It is amazing we haven't won our first three league games for so long. I wouldn't have guessed it's been 46 years.

Did the team from 1974 win the first 4 games or could it be a record

I can remember us losing the first six league games in the 85 season but winning every midweek cup game convincingly. Got to the league cup final that season .

Won the first 4 then lost 0-1 at home to St Johnstone. Ended up finishing 2nd.

Hibs finished second that season, 7 points behind Rangers.

In my Bethnal Green local it was 22p for a pint of bitter and 25p for a light & bitter or lager.

As well as London I also lived in Reddish, Cheshire from the previous June and then went to Kings Lynn for three months seasonal work after Scotland's WC exit, before arriving in London directly after the final Windsor free festival.

Kings Lynn was a nightmare, didn't know Alex Cropley had scored the goal that had beaten Rangers 1-0 in the league cup section decider played in front of 55,000 at Ibrox until the following morning. We beat Rangers in the first section game at ER 3-1 but lost to St Johnstone to lose our advantage, although with goal difference a draw would have done us at Ibrox. This set us up to allow Celtic to score another six against us in a final for the third time in five years!!

Quite a year 1974 for Hibs and me!

I was talking to my mate tonight after this evening's game about this very season. It was Jimmy O'Rourke of all people who scored St Johnstone's winner in that game to end our run.

What wee O'Rourke was doing at St Johnstone only Eddie Turnbull could have told you. It was certainly beyond my comprehension!

And that was Rangers stopping Celtic winning ten in a row.

One for the afficianados. When did Hibs last win 3 top league games in a row, including 2 away games? (I don't know the answer!).
