Matty I listened to Longbangers this morning and agreed with your thoughts on Doig.
Did well but needed a bit help out there. Think that’s why RJ switched Wright out left and pulled Boyle to the right effectively going 4-5-1 towards end of first half.
Felt that negated Wrights attacking instinct and also left Nisbet with no support up front so changed the dynamic of his game completely. Thought he was doing really well when he was able to drop short and allow Boyle to play on shoulder of last man at the start.
However that aside I felt Doig did very well. Few folk on other threads and social media saying he struggled and isn’t ready.
For a first competitive game at this level I thought he did really well and will be a big asset over the next few seasons.

The report says he played in the centre of defence, which he didn’t. But a good debut I thought - positive, and played with his head up.
