Aaron Hickey starts for Bologna who are 2-0 up at HT vs Parma. Good on the laddie and great to have a young Scottish player staring in Serie A.
Fair play to him for sure. But I've absolutely no desire for him to go over there and be a success, with the potential of earning them a huge sell on fee.

And yes, I do realise how petty this is!

    He's playing well.
    2nd half has begun.
    3-0 Bologna now.
Hickey beaten on the outside a couple of minutes ago but doesn't look out of place.

i think sheff u will survive, 10th last season down to not scoring a goal in the first 3 games for the first time in their history, Arsenal/Man city/Liverpool in three of their next four games.
They've also got Chelsea in their 5th game. Fulham's their other game so they need to win that one. There's a real possibility that they could be going into November with just 3 points and that wouldn't be looking good for them.

Yeah I get that. He could be a success and leave on a free when out of contract ;)

They have fans in the ground?

How many games does Pepe get in an Arsenal shirt before we can finally call him a total bust?

I've never seen him have a good game in an Arsenal shirt, yet all those of a Gooner persuasion keep saying he'll come good...

All evidence to the contrary so far.

He's been on like 5 minutes.

Plenty of evidence to show he will come good. FA Cup final being a recent example. There is a reason those that watch him think that. You cant have watched much if you think he hasn't had a good game.

In the time he's been on, he's dumped two corners to the first Liverpool defender, lost the ball 3 times trying to dribble and failed to control another 2 passes that Roberston didn't even need to put in a tackle.

I don't see it - I don't watch Arsenal week in week out, granted, but every time I see this guy playing he's dreadful.

Edit: You've expanded your post, but my second sentence probably deals with the new remark.

He certainly isn't dreadful. Not shown 72 million pound form (would be surprised if Arsenal have even paid half of that so far, though) but he quite clearly has quality.

Took Sane and Bernardo Silva a little while to get going in England. Not every winger is gonna be Mo Salah.

    I absolutely agree with that.

I'm not even necessarily suggesting that the guy is a bad player. I just don't think the move to Arsenal has worked out, and I'm not sure this is the team where he can highlight his qualities (which has also happened many times in the past before - see de Bruyne or Wilfred Zaha as clear examples of players that don't work in a particular team/system).

    They do.

They were allowed 1,000 fans in the grounds last week and they hope to be in a position soon to allow stadiums to be at 25% capacity.

Obviously the virus spreads more easily inside a British football stadium...

and strangely they are all in the one stand and not that distanced from each other.

Came across the stat that Arsenal have failed to beat any of the ‘big six’ away in the league since January 2015 (27 games). That’s a long time.

    From the BBC website:

Eric Dier sprints off down the tunnel, he hasn't been changed, sprints off and Jose Mourinho has followed him.
Eric Dier sprints back out - and he's back on. Jose Mourinho is not impressed.
I can only think that was a toilet break because Eric Dier sprinted off that pitch.
When you've got to go, you've got to go...

Spurs were the much better team in the second half. Good result considering major players being rested or out injured.

Newport seem to put in good performances against the bigger teams in recent years. Knocked out Swansea and Watford leading up to this round.

Lukaku with 2 goals in the first half for Inter this evening. No idea how things didn’t go so well for him at United, he’s a top goalscorer.

He was at least a couple of stones heavier at United. Showed a lack of desire imo. Shows you the difference between Manchester and Milan, difference between chips and gravy and pasta and sun

42 goals in 96 games isn't really bad, though. Done well with United IMO, especially first season. Being the main man at Inter suits him well.

Plenty of football on tonight. Man City currently beating Burnley 1-0. Man Utd playing Brighton and Everton playing West Ham.

Bayern v Dortmund in the German super cup the pick for me.
