Klopp must go. A couple of good seasons out of six. On the slide, failed to build, no plan B etc etc.

He should have gone after losing 7 to the team that scraped their way past relegation last season. Unacceptable. 😂

Have they lost their hunger? become complacent? They looked a mid table team tonight, you can get away with the odd player being off form but when half the team is off form this happens. Big dilemma for Klopp, does he stay with these players or is it time to move a few on, for me Firmino looks miles off the player he was as is Mane and Salah looks like he's trying too hard.

Neil Lennon fav to take over.

Credit to Burnley they do what they do well. Absolute fantastic result for them.

Turned on with 20 mins to go, trying to score the perfect goal it seemed. Nowhere near direct enough IMO and I don't mean long ball but getting running at the by-line flashing crosses and hitting first time. Too much about the quick sharp touches around the box trying to score the perfect goal when the ball was there to be hit several times. Salah was the worst offender.

Inexplicable, when you consider how prolific their front three were last season.

Liverpool had two amazing seasons back to back where they barely dropped any points in the league, and won the CL and EPL back to back.

They could never keep those performance levels up. Especially with how many games there are in quick succession this season.

I thought it was the opposite, they ran out of ideas and fired cross after cross into the box but that’s what Burnley live for. They very rarely broke Burnley down.

I still fancy Liverpool to knock United out the FA Cup on Sunday.

Liverpool doing a Celtic this season by the looks of it

Liverpool’s home record under Klopp has been brilliant over the last few years.

Puts into perspective how great Jose Mourinho’s record was, across 9 years 1 month and 10 days he went 150 league games unbeaten at home.

I suppose it has been on the cards. Liverpool had a small tight squad and did not rotate as much as their rivals it worked very well for a couple of years, largely because the avoided injuries for their key players. They also focussed on two competitions - the Premier League and the Champions League - fielding weakened teams in the League Cup and the FA Cup.

Liverpool haven’t become a bad team overnight, but the effort has affected the form of key players and the goals for have dried up somewhat.

All that pressure may now have caught up with them and injuries have mounted particularly in central defence have adversely affected the it form. The compressed nature of the PL season starting a month or more late but still trying to pack as many games in will be a factor.

Central defence injuries have hugely affected their team including moving their best midfielders into defence. Surprised they didn't bring in a central defender this window. Front 3 struggling particularly Firmino and Salah. Squad players nowhere near the level. Bit of a perfect storm at the moment will be interesting what team he picks for the cup game.

I know you’re only being flippant, but more generally are Liverpool even having all that bad a season? Only 6 points off top in a very strange season. Having lost their first choice centrebacks for the season as well as Matip being injured and playing their best midfielders in defence. They have definitely dropped off but from the levels of the last 2 seasons that was inevitable. They’re just one of the pack this season but still as good a chance as any at retaining the title IMO.

After the last two seasons, failing to be at the same level is going to attract criticism. The reality is though they would always drop off that standard eventually. This is the first time since May 2000 that they have failed to score in 4 consecutive league games.

I still think they will be title challengers, City for the win though.

Liverpool have been hit for six by the loss of VVD. They've not been safe at the back since. They're still up there though. It's just that other teams have improved and it's going to be much closer this time.
Maybe they need a holiday in the middle east.

Biggest game in the history of Chorley FC tonight.

Would give anything to be sampling the build-up in the town and the atmosphere at a packed Victory Park tonight.

A huge two fingered salute to Covid!

Not really. Celtic are on a run of nine titles in a row. Liverpool are on a run of one in a row!

I do know that really, so do you - Covid has had an impact on football games this season particularly that game when Derby had to play a team without a single minute of first team action between them.

It did steal that occasion of course, but it did also create a situation where ordinarily Chorley would not have been in this round to worry about whether there are fans there or not for this one.

Can only be good news for the the likes of United and Spurs. I still think City will get results against West Brom, Sheffield Utd and Burnley without KDB though.

You don't know it, and to say that you do is nonsense.

Of course our chances were minimal, just as they were in the two previous rounds against Wigan and Peterborough (a club not far off Derby's current standing).

The whole romance of the FA Cup is built upon the very shocks you deem impossible.
