Got injured in the match against us. Wonder how it happened. Crunching tackle by Gogic perhaps.

Did not know that. Will probably help us of course, but after all the bile and hatred from up the road and Sickbag, I don't wish any footballer or club staff any ill will.

Well said bud. The guy is a youngster on the cusp of a very important time in his career and I hope he comes back from his injury as best as he can.

Strange, I hope he never scores for Aberdeen again.

Why would you want our nearest competitors striker scoring? I want him to recover and have a good career but I certainly don’t want him ‘banging them in’ for Aberdeen

If it was career-threatening, I'd understand the concern. We Had Boyle, Porteous, Mallan & Newell out for months last season, there was no tears on the Dons forum. Players get injured, it's part & parcel.

    Fair enough.
Bit harsh, but I take the point.

I’d like him to score against the The Rangers though.

Canny see any tears, just wishing an injured laddie good luck.

A mate of mine told me Middlesbrough were after him, probably scuppered now.

Cormack was saying only last week that they would try and cash in on him. Not going to happen now. From a Hibs point of view it's not a bad thing but never nice seeing a player get a bad injury

Big dirty hammer thrower who fouls constantly and plays for a rival club picks up run of the mill injury. Sorry but I won't be crying in to my cornflakes about this one.

The worry is with contact only recently introduced for players we could see a lot of early injuries from poor tackles

No surgery required, don’t wish any player an injury but if it hinders Aberdeen and he recovers then all good.

We should be aiming to have a team that can beat our rivals fair and square, at their full strength. It’s bad chat to be happy that an opposition player is injured. You don’t need to be the Dalry Lama to know that is bad Karma man.

You also don’t need to be wishing every player well that ends up out for a couple of months. Football never runs to script, so even the best lose games, if our rivals are missing their most influential players then all the better.

Yeah, I’m not fond of mawkish well wishing either. Suppose it’s a by product of social media, people get very sentimental over small stuff.

Is anyone asking you to “cry into your cornflakes”?

A blow for Aberdeen and wish him well in his recovery, but also hope we can capitalise in that period.

They've got Rangers & Celtic in their first 4 games, then a trip to ER. Great chance for us to open a gap early.

A 23 year old footballer who plays for one of our biggest rivals is out injured for a few months whilst continuing on full pay, are we supposed to feel sorry for him?

He's got a knee injury that he'll most probably make a full recovery from by the end of the year, in the meantime one of our biggest rivals are deprived of the services of their top goalscorer, I'm personally delighted.

He plays a contact sport, injuries are part and parcel of the game. He's hardly been diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Are we going to have a thread for every opposition player that gets injured this season?

Let’s just make sure we beat Kilmarnock first. We were struggling for top 6 last year and only signed 3 players, losing 8 in the process
