What a player Eusebio was, he really should have been man of the match. Not a vintage performance by United though Denis Law was out injured. Players nowadays seem in general to be more technically talented with some exceptions. Only one substitute as well, the goalkeeper.

One of Bests quieter games but he still scored a great (and crucial) goal and made another couple of runs that cut the Portuguese defence to ribbons.
he was also hacked down three or four times in the first half

Football looks so different back then. Some obvious talent but some of the play genuinely looks clumsy!
