Very misunderstood and a genuinely warm and funny guy.

I remember him coming into a club in the small hours in Malmo and it seemed to be around a turning point of him being seen as on our side.

All the best to him and hopefully back for the cup presentation later in the year.

Does anyone know what’s happened or what he’s dealing with? I’m sure there’s loads out there that would like to know while wishing him all the best. Fact nothing has been revealed makes it more worrying.

Some of the comments on Twitter from Rangers fans on the SFA statement reminds me why I loathe them so much.

That pretty much sums up twitter in general in my experience an utter cesspit which should be shut down or managed appropriately.

    Get well soon Rod.

At least Twitter is taking steps to ban trolls and put warnings on dubious content. Facebook is just a free for all.

Edit: I am not denying that Twitter remains a cesspit however!

I put a 'get well soon Rod' comment on and had 2 utter reptiles from that vile club posting sneery **** back at me.
I've actually come to hate Twitter almost as much as I loathe Rangers or Sevco or whaterver they're called this week (I really don't care).

The comments are bad, sure, but the website in general is very good. Great source of news and opinion.

Facebook is turning. There were blanket suspensions the week before last on anyone following anything remotely reactionary. Anti racist groups behind it apparently taking it to extremes on the back of BLM. To the extent that Neville Staples of The Specials found himself played by the race card due to a page he was following. One look at the coupon of the great man should explain the folly of that.

    From the SFA spokesperson

"I would ask that everyone respects Rod's request for privacy during his recovery period"

Wasnt Staples ban to do with Skinhead logos? He had S.H.A.R.P. logos on his page and the thinking behind the bans was that anything Skinhead must be racist.

Had the chance to chat to him in the hotel when we played Molde. Proper gentleman made time to chat thanked us for traveling and was sorry that we didn't get the result that night.
