Has anyone used a private Genealogist to trace their family tree ?
Any examples of total cost?

I've just asked for prices from a couple of people listed on the ASGRA website but would imagine it would be difficult to estimate the time needed. They charge £25 per hour plus agreed expenses if needed.

I have used Scotland's People , Family Search , Ancestry etc but come to a brick wall in 1828.
I have a wedding certificate from 1828 but unfortunately there are no dates of birth or parents maiden names so I am unsure what to do next.
