Just noticed Eilidh Adams did Youan's celebration when she got her hat-trick 😂

Scotland u19s getting battered by Iceland right now 4-0 after 40 mins. We look miles off it. A few players playing in positions that they don't for their club. Thats a very SFA thing to do .

Where's it being played? Seems an unusual kick-off time.

It was good to see us getting a big, morale-boosting win yesterday because I think we needed it after Ibrox last week. Also, good to see Adams scoring a hat-trick and hopefully boosing her confidence because she hasn't been as clinical as we need her to be recently. Bit concerned though that we again conceeded, even in such a big win, because it seems we are rarely good enough to keep cleansheets with the likes of Montrose, Hamilton and Dundee United who all struggle to score finding the net against us this season. Baucom appears to be the real deal and her goals to game ratio is impressive. Perhaps the most proflic forward since Abi Harrison?
    Hat-trick here:

Corsie should be nowhere near the team now. The lack of investment in elite coaching is showing now. Going backwards.

that 3rd goal was absolutely horrendous, a punt from the Dutch defender from way in her own half and it splits the defence

I’m not a huge fan of Howard but she’s been on in league games. It’s just a lack of players challenging for defence. Keeper and CBs need to be replaced but we are struggling to develop good defenders. McLean at DM will be top class. Watson will be great too assuming she recovers from her ACL. But there aren’t much coming behind them. That’s all down to the poor league and coaching setup in Scotland.

Well done to Hibs. And a great day for Ferguson. I really should have gone to that game today gutted I didn't.

The game's on youtube at the moment if anyone is looking for a Sunday football fix, currently one nil through a Eilidh Adams goal.

Also, the Hearts game is next week 3pm Saturday at ER. Tickets are free

Watched a bit . Around 200 watching in YouTube. Suspect Won’t be a big crowd next week despite being free. Wasn’t last couple at ER and PBS.

I read club funding womens team to the tune of £400k a year . £400k taken out first team budget.

You can tell women love playing. But should be Amature level players in Scotland. Not enough crowd interest to make it sustainable

I would say it's not 400k out of the first team budget because it was never in the budget. It's up to the Gordon's if they want to invest in a growing sport

It would be in the first team budget . It’s not growing in Scotland and no evidence it will

You don’t know that - they’ve chosen to invest in this as well - if they chose not to there’s no guarantee they’d put it in the first team budget.

How many questions? Who to? When?

Who did you ask about the evidence to show the games not growing?

You can't say that unless you've had a conversation with the Gordon's and they've said 'we'd stick 400k more into the men's team if we didn't have a women's team'.

Compare the game with 10 years ago, evidence it's growing.

I would say one thing I think would allow the game to grow more would be to return the league to a summer season, which I don't think they will. Reasons being it won't be competing as much for paying spectators or media coverage with the men's game and it's a very family-friendly game and I think people would be more inclined to take young kids to the game when the weather isn't baltic.

This website sponsors five women players and the Girls Academy and are incredibly proud to do so. The women’s game is growing, will continue to do so and our Daughters and Grandaughters deserve the chance to make a living from the game we all love.

Plus the best way to grow the Hibernian women's team and make it sustainable is to invest in it, make it successful, market it well, and provide an enjoyable match day experience. The women's team have played in front of thousands at both Easter Road and Tynecastle, had some cracking players come through, and will surely continue to grow going forward.

I honestly enjoy going to watch the women's team more than the men's team more often than not nowadays.
