I hadn’t realised they were a separate entity. What was the reason for that?

    Great news!

I wonder why it took so long to announce? As I think we've known it had/was happening.

Really excited to find out where the new home is, and see the team again!
Think I read it was meadowbank, tho not 100% on that!

See one of our former players Caroline Weir has signed for Real Madrid.

    Some move.

Very cool with the video of her wearing the kit as a kid.

I like the idea, and it'll be interesting to see what the practical implications are for our women's team.

Been rumoured, and hoped, for a while that it will be. But it's been a ****show for ages, and as Brightside said, will be busy! Edinburgh City also want their women's team there.

    Makes so much sense though.

On a Sunday when the men's team are at home they could even do double header tickets!

    *Sorry FC Edinburgh

Great news, it was never a good look to have the women's team at arms length so to speak. We are all one club and this goes a long way to showing that.

Yeh I thought they could have a double header if both at home, meadowbank would make sense for that, give the women's game a boost in attendance...

I think leith are playing there too. BUT perhaps a few of the teams will be in the other astros? (If they are full size)

I've went past on the bus and pretty sure they are. Much like Ainslie you can half them or go full.

Great to hear Meadowbank finally confirmed for 5 years.

If there are no friendlies confirmed, the first home game is 14 August vs Accies.

Hopefully we get a good crowd and it sets the tone for the rest of the season!

Aberdeen will struggle if they dont sign some players this season. 4 or 5 of the 18s from last year have been promoted but i've not seen anyone come into the squad.

Patrick Thistle have picked up a few.
Spartans have been very quiet bar signing a couple of young players.
Celtic have been very quiet also.
Hibs should fancy a top3 this season.

Been looking at Celtic as well thinking this is a real opportunity for us this year. Especially as I feel, bar the 4-0, we were unlucky against them and FT football was the key factor in them winning.

For the Sheep game, the highlights are on Recast, and Rosie Livingstone looked like she was having a great game, picking the ball up and running with it. Reminded me a bit of Cav.

    Ditto.

Just Jimmy did warn us about Cavanagh about a month ago.
Cav has signed for the Hun.

Aw, that’s a stinker. All the best to her, though.

I know. I hate how them and Celtic have got involved in the womens game. It's ruined by them.

It pisses me off as I just think they're doing it for status more than anything else, they can't be out done by the other cheek of the same arse.

And they waited until the game had developed to a decent extent without them then decided to buy it.

    Exactly.

The end result will be the national team left behind. We're already miles behind.

Rangers beat Spartans in a bounce game wed night. Think it finished 3-0. Rangers young players were very impressive. Spartans did well to keep it low. Hibs beat BTFC 8-0 tonight. An easy work out for Hibs. At the moment I expect Rangers to win the league easy. Hibs should be pushing for 3rd. They need to add some more quantity to the squad.

Just announced Lucy Parry on loan from Liverpool. Imagine she gives us more depth at the back.

Still waiting on some of the signings as well, I'm assuming it's work permit related.

A young right back. That’s 2 very good English players they now have in the squad. They are certainly going for immediate success with the signing policy.

Looks like this team actually has a strategy to it's signing policy!

I'm excited to see this team in action, far more than I was for the men's team this year.

Going by the pre season games, it looks like Lawson is a stick on with maybe Shiv, mostly partnering?

I'm not sure if Gibson bothered trying a back 3 again.

Just noticed a Hibs women ST is £100. It think that’s more expensive that any of the WSL in England. Rangers are £89. We need to get down below the £50 mark if we are going to grow the game. Man U is £32.
