Loved that Sandy Clark had to relive the events...hilarious to lose the Cup final too the next week...from Double winners to nothing!

They’ve had worse, and I’m pleasantly surprised that sportsound chose to acknowledge that.

Hearts blowing the league and cup that year has to go down as the biggest bottle job in Scottish football history.

It wasn't even the first time they lost 2-0 on the final day to chuck the league as they did it in 64/65 too.

And they've got the cheek to say Hibs'd it.

The fact they'd have won it in 64/65 if it was decided by goal difference and not goal average and would have won it in 85/86 if it was decided by goal average and not goal difference makes it even sweeter.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The below from the London Hearts site, actually a really good resource BTW, highlights things beautifully. The before and after tables make glorious reading, the inclusion of the irrelevant goal difference and goal average respectively just adds to the sense of hurt:

They also blew the league in season 58/59. They went into the final game 2 points behind Rangers with the same goal average. Rangers lost 2-1 v Aberdeen but Hearts also lost (v Celtic) to hand Rangers the title. Another jambottling.

Even better as they were the main protagonists to get it changed - had they not then they would have won the league in ‘86 😂

Lost count of how many times that mob have bottled it. The weird Hibsed it thing they say is a deflection tactic to hide their many collosal bottling monents

just had a look at the highlights from 1965 when they blew it against Kilmarnock at Tynie

never seen it before, highly amusing.

My mate and I played the '86 radio commentary of Kidd's two goals down O'Connoll Street, Dublin much to the bewilderment of the local shoppers.

I was playing for a junior team on that day ,refs were appointed but linesman were a official of both clubs. Our linesman was club secretary a Jambo,he had a radio with Earphones I went to take a throw in and he said “Kidd just scored “ I went oh f..k he then said “not Walter it’s Albert “ I was in a haze then came “it’s two and Celtc are running riot in Paisley. The final whistle went and I sprinted off the park to the dressing room to laugh / celebrate with a couple of Hibs and Celtc teammates.Funny enough can’t remember the score of the match I played in
