He played in both finals in the 50's? 54 and 55?

(I have a photo of my old man with Bobby on my desk just now, so asking them for inspiration )

Correct, Villa. Both Crops & Rioch were left sided Scottish internationalists born in Aldershot.
Yip Rioch Number 6 and Masson Number 8

    Bobby set a record in those 2 finals, 55 & 56 IIRC.

    Ok,
#1 Correctly identified as Newcastle winning Fairs Cup in late 60s with Jim Scott in the team.
#2 I thought this was easiest, possibly because I have close family connections to both, but no one has it correct yet. A current top striker has played for both.
#3 Correctly identified as Villa, the players being Rioch & Cropley.
#4 Correctly identified as Leicester but no connection yet. It was decade or so before Bobby Smith
#5 Correctly identified as Man C & Bobby Johnstone. The record Bobby set was he was 1st player in 20th century, & possibly the last, to score in successive cup finals.

So everything needed for 2 & connection for 4.

Is #4 David Gibson getting to two FA Cup Finals just falling short in the League and scoring a goal in each leg of a winning League Cup Final?

No 2 Brighton and Palace - couldn't think of a connection but it appears played for both.

Yes Davie played in the losing team in the Tartan final of 1963. Matt Gillies & Matt Busby were the managers, Denis Law & Davie Herd were the goalscorers & 7/22 players were Scots

I thought you probably thought you had! Yes, was Neil Martin, along with Jim Scott another London Hibs guest. Billy, your prize is you get to buy me a pint next time Im up after all this is over!
I'll leave you with a couple of teasers, Billy, try & avoid looking it up! 😁
    1. What was the 1st post war FA Cup Final without Scottish representation? (Player or manager)
    2. Two Hibs goalies played in back to back FA Cup finals, one of which is extremely famous. See if you can name them.

Correct players but Ronnie won it in 1952 & again in 1955, when Bobby Johnstone scored against him!
