@ScottishFA confirm all football in Scotland to be suspended until at least June 10 - SFA also say 6 weeks of training required needed prior to any competitive matches being played.
So that would be 18th July as an earliest start.

Scottish football should not expect to hold matches in front of fans "any time soon", says Nicola Sturgeon.
She also states if a match is still on TV, the danger is people will congregate together to watch, so even behind closed doors may not happen.

Obviously England may have the same concerns as us and they may not want to play any football at all until it's safe for fans but then you also have other sports getting played abroad.
I think we can forget fans in stadiums for a very long time after today's announcement but I'm not entirely convinced that a ban on matches being televised behind closed doors would be too effective.

I think that once people are back at work all social distancing will be out the window and people will socialise regardless of advice purely on the basis that they could be going to and from work on a train with 200 people to sit in an office with another 200 people. As has been said if any big leagues go back, people will gather to watch it, mainly because they are bored without it.

From what various folk from youth to senior level have intimated september is my guess though i think im being optimistic. If no sign of playing by mid july then never mind reconstruction we might have to curtail next season.

Reluctantly, I have to agree. I fear this season and the 2020/2021 season to be lost. A vaccine well into next year and then testing/testing/testing and gradual relaxation of social distancing and returning to full time work will easily take us to the summer of 2021. Pessimistic - yes. Realistic - I think so. Never mind the politicians and the football associations, regardless of good intentions, it is the predictions/advice from the medical professionals that should and must prevail.
I hope with all my heart that this toxic cloud blows away faster than a Hearts budget but, fellow supporters, it's not an easy fix.

There are fears fans will not be able to attend English Football League games until January 2021, according to a leaked recording heard by the BBC.
The leaked recording also suggested that three teams would be promoted from each EFL division but with no relegations, leading to a 23-team Premier League for 2020-21 and then extra relegation spots in future seasons throughout the pyramid to balance the numbers back out. Can't see many happy with that.

October is my best guess. League cup knockout and season shortened ironically finishing after three rounds of games. Once we get past September something will have to give.
