    Marvin Bartley / Stokes interview.

Good watch on Marvin Bartley’s Instagram account. Can still be rewatched just now, sure snippets of it will appear in the papers. Stokes speaking about his football career, particularly that day in May his feeling towards it all. Has a laugh with Marv about how he played in the other games leading up to the final. “ remember I said on bus going to final, no one will remember Alloa away, but they will remember today” Speaks fondly of Hibs being some of the most enjoyable spells of his career. End of interview says his next move will definitely be UK / preferably Scotland as his contract at current club expires in 3months. Says he would love another chance to play for Hibs but knows himself that’s probaly very unlikely.

Hard to believe he’s only 31 with amount of clubs he’s played for, not sure many on here would want him back for a 4th spell.

Can I listen to it somewhere? I'm not instagram savvy.

Was really good to listen to.

Interesting about how he woke up and just felt like everything was right for him to have a good game.

To be fair to the guy considering he’s had his moments he speaks well about his career.

Obvious the court cases and relationships played a part in his recent moves.

Says he loves Celtic and Hibs though and would love to come back.

Wouldn't shock me if Dundee United cashed in on Shankland and then brought Stokes in.

If we could get him fit and motivated... 🤔

Greatest performance by any Hibs player in a Scottish Cup final. Will never forget how committed and how good he was that day. Legend.

Correct. Stokes was totally unplayable that day. He may have made a decent living from the game but with his ability he should have been a top, top player.

Then again if he'd realised his potential, he wouldn't have came to Hibs and we wouldn't have won the Cup

Just about his only performance for us in that spell. Glad he saved it up for that day.

I’d sign him back again. Brilliant footballer and a Hibs legend!

I really enjoyed that. Fascinating listening to Stokes talk quite openly and honestly about his career. I hope Marv keeps doing these with some of the other folk he's played with.

He interviewed jamie maclaren the other day too.

Watched it earlier. You could see what great friends they have become.
Stokes pulling no punches in what he has done, good and bad, in his career. 21st May 2016 was an unexpected bonus medal for him that he was no doubt grateful to assist in achieving.
Obvious affection for Hibs but as he said several times Celtic were always the club for him.
    Fair enough. Honest answer.

The Cummings one should be entertaining!!

It was. Barring Inverness away in the Cup that season, he was pretty much rotten that season. On our supporters bus there were loads of people saying he shouldn’t start and Keatings should play.

Thankfully he started and put one of the best performances I’ve ever seen anywhere. He was absolutely phenomenal.

Unplayable. Jesus what a player he could have been if he had screwed the nut

    Yeah me too.

I know we can’t just keep giving people 4 year contracts like SDG and big Daz but I can’t help feeling Marv has a lot of value to Hibs and still think ideally we’d have kept him. It’s been done to death that he wasn’t replaced on the park and he clearly has a lot of off the pitch attributes too.
