It is a football forum but Maradona v Messi is a divisive issue both have excellent qualities both have pros and cons both brilliant players and will live forever in the hearts of many football fans

There is no real correct answer as to who is the best and like the Pelé thing it is more a generational thing but us oldies all know Pelé is the best

It is a debate that can go on forever and we can keep going round and round in circles but I am sure when Messi retires he will be closer to if he has not overtaken Pelé and Maradona in the race to be GOAT

Like squaring a circle. The story of the 86 world cup and Diego's dominanition is available on catch up if your Digibox lets you. The last great world cup imho. No player,maybe bar Zidane has come close in world cup finals to maradona. Only Pele in my eyes has even matched him. The 70 world cup the best ever followed by 82 with the best ever game being Brazil 2 Rossi 3. Almost cried at the end of that. What a game though. Incredible quality apart from being Brazil's defending.
