I believe Martin Boyle has stepped forward to represent Hibs in the Quaran-Team online FIFA tournament organised by Leyton Orient (although Rachael Boyle pointed out he can only play after he's put his daughter to bed ). The first round tie of Hibernian vs Millwall will take place this Sunday.
For the full first round draw follow this link,

NB. The CCS will need to organise a virtual scrap through Street Fighter or Streets of Rage.

What a boring team to do that. The worst criticism I can aim at such a decision is to say that's exactly what I'd expect hearts to do.Mon the Hibs.

(I don't want to know how much you'd need to weaken a team to give me a hope against a pro, if it's even possible…)

I used to play against some quite handy players years ago when online was relatively new (back when PES was the better game - talking 2006-08) - it was before you had "professionals" but some of these guys were ridiculous.
I'd have no doubts a pro would beat me with India if I was Barcelona.

I had been following this on Twitter from its conception and I honestly thought they were trying to get one Pro(player) and one fan from each team.
Things have obviously changed.

The first round of games starts at 7 pm tonight, but it's up to the individual clubs to arrange a time for each game so there's no official schedule.
Looks like Boyle will be playing on Monday at 12 noon: http://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/news/10594
Hibs also say they'll be streaming it.

Boyle playing a youtuber, he will get hammered by a professional gamer, I thought the whole point of it was pro players playing each other

Tbf the guy hes playing isnt a pro fifa player. Hes a youtuber that's played it and streamed it. Dont watch much fifa esports but I do know the guy isnt a competitive player, more someone who plays it and makes content. Clinging onto straws here in the hope of Boyle winning, with the lack of any sport I never thought I'd be so into a fifa tournament haha

What's the point in having a youtuber do it? Thought the whole point was it was a way for us fitba fans to continue to get some kind of weekly fix from our club/players?
If I want to go on YouTube and watch some random streamer play FIFA I can (and won't)

Looks like they did it properly in Spain: https://www.theguardian.com/football...iga-video-game
(Either that or Asensio schooled a load of esports pros…)
