Given Hearts have to rearrange the st Mirren game too, the more upheaval, the more likely they are to get relegated.

    Come on the draw.
That date has already been arranged.

And that would mean Hearts’ game against St Mirren on the Wednesday being moved, or alternatively us playing Hearts on the 17th/18th

Wouldn’t be on the tele in that case due to it clashing with UEFA
It's allowed on the telly because it was already scheduled to be on the telly. That's how sky got around showing the city game last week anyways.

That's the replay against Inverness not Hearts.

It's time to cancel the winter break as it causes more issues that it solves, we end up having to play so many midweek games from December onwards because of it and it becomes seriously ****** up if teams progress in Europe or cup replays.

In the (admittedly unlikely) scenario that both Hibs and Hearts have replays, then why not play ours on Tuesday, seeing as we'll suddenly have the night free?

The difference is they are more than likely to do it for an English game than a Scottish game.

They can't do that unless Hearts also draw.

Also do Inverness have a game midweek?

    Not really. Cup takes preference.

I think Hearts are about to get totally hammered this weekend so I doubt it matters much.

If the derby was to be postponed, think they’ll earliest date it could be played is midweek of w/c 16th March or w/c 6th April

  15. #44
On the plus side they could be closer to relegation if the game is played later which would mean a win for us against them could be even more damaging for them.

That's my thoughts too. The League Game was a fluke result. I can't seeing The Rangers losing at Tiny again.

Make Hearts play 2 games in 2 days. If it’s good enough for Liverpool..
All big teams play 2 in 2 and with liverpool being on Hearts creditors list of shame it's another chance to reinforce one of their weird wee special relationships.

    Yes!
Please draw, I'm in Gdansk next week and will miss the derby if it's Tuesday.

So basically, either a Hearts win, a draw, or a Rangers win is a brilliant result in one way or another?

    I like this win/win world.

Hope we don’t get pumped out tonight.

I don't think that's right. St Mirren v Hearts rescheduled is no longer on TV due to UEFA games. I think the English teams got a special exemption.

Am away to Krakow on the 6th . Better no be a draw but unbelievable that they would cancel the derby 48 hours notice . Can see Hearts losing heavy tho .

    Interesting point.

Going to be close at the tiny library.

Huns just back from a Euro trip - possible fatigue - but surely the yams priority is to stay in the league so wonder what their line up will be. Probably best 11 they have but wouldn’t surprise me if they rested players for Tuesday.

Realistically, Rangers should win 5-1 on Saturday.

Looks like Hearts have quite a few tickets left unsold for the derby too.
Quel surpris ! Fighting for their prem survival but trumped by the horror of a skelping from Hibs 😂

Was BT due to show it? Maybe they won't because they have rights to UEFA games. SKY showing it wouldn't effect sky figures. They defo said SKY were showing the game on a European night cause it was already scheduled to be on the telly. Think BT tried to stop it but we're told nothing they can do.

Hearts will want this settled at the first asking one way or another. A draw and then beat in the replay would be 180 minutes of distraction from their real target.

Unfortunately they're all also awful results.
    Mon the Hibs.
