I’ve been to a lot of baseball games in the States, the big screens can be great, particularly in baseball where there are lots of breaks in play.
However, i’m quite surprised that not so long ago many people got bent out of shape at the thought of spending £1 million on a full size indoor pitch at East Mains, yet this seems to have great support.
I get that it might generate some additional advertising revenues, but even so.....

If you're happy with it now, you'll be at least as happy next season.

Are some folks forgetting this is a businessman and a US businessman at the that? He’s not come in all gung-ho.
He might even know a thing or two about the power of moving image but if not (!) he’s got US counterparts who are successful in the game.
Who knows the combo of the big screen and smart phones might be a powerful one... man of the match? make it interactive. Hook people on to the screen and give then competition/promo codes vouchers into their Apple wallet to use at partners sites/stores.Last edited by Viva_Palmeiras; 27-02-2020 at 03:54 PM.

How much does Vue at Omni/Ocean terminal (Porta!) charge for force people to sit through their adds? And how many punters do they reach?

From "kiss cams" onwards in the quoted post would be far too far down the "americanisation" route for my liking

We're also trying to attract younger people to the club and they see all that kind of stuff on social media and the telly so incorporating that into the matchday experience might be the difference in getting them to Easter Road rather than sitting at home watching teams from other countries on the telly.
Or maybe we should just tell them to go to the cinema if they want to be entertained......that's worked well for us in the past

Just think when we play The Rangers we can zoom in on "neanderthal of the week".

I presume you won’t be able to see the screen if you bought a ticket in upper East Section 45?

It has to be situated between the east and south, coz if you put it between the FF and East only the west will have a good view of it. It seems wherever it goes the east is gonna be the stand that suffers and whatever happens the west will be in prime position, for obvious reasons though.
The best place for it would be slung under the roof of the south right at the front, or perhaps on top of it

Slap bang behind the goals in the South sounds like the right place to me. Hang it from the roof and give the uglies a good old expensive restricted view of the wiring.

I sit in the east and I can see the wall that the screen will presumably go on no bother so I imagine it will only be parts of the east that can’t see it.

It's going in the corner at an angle, everyone will see it. There will be better and worse places to see it, but you will see it.
It also has to go in the corner of East and South no question, therefore giving the "best" views to all home stands. Would be stupid to put it next to the FF and give the 20 Ross county away fans prime viewing.
I'm all for us modernising the stadium, looking forward to it.

With the imminent "Americanisation" of the club, I'm looking forward to the barbecues in the car park..
