Boyle for me, too, just. If Doidge continues to knock them in then he will probably edge it though.

Vegan Nish. He’s been awesome since early November. Most consistent player too.

Kamberi? Just to get him back to the player of the year function 😁
    Who? What? …. I'm lost

Do you mean Doidge? In which case, is he Vegan? And do you think he looks or plays like Nish?!

Really hope him and McNulty both batter them in from now, almost competing, like the old Deeks and O'Connor days. Hopefully they play plenty of games together an we have two strikers regularly scoring goals.

Would make a big difference for us and things have started promisingly.

It’s close between Boyle and Doidge but Allan is in with a shout too ( 9 goals ,10 assists )

His playing style reminds me of Nishy.

I see - I'd never heard or seen the veganism thing!

I can't see it sticking like but can't blame a man for trying

Boyle for me, provides most entertainment and has added end product. Every time he gets the ball I think we can make something happen.

    It won't, I know, sadly

Dodge has worked hard for the team all over the pitch all season.
He is not and will never be a one on one finisher like McNulty and needs a partner up front.
Heckenbottoms one up tactics drained his confidence and many Hibs supporters inability to assess the type of striker Doidge is didn't help.
Has barely missed a game and was a steal at Ł250k.
There are no downsides to the guy application and character wise.
Will continue to score with his intelligent runs from Newells fantastic corners and will take defenders away and create space in open play for McNulty.
    Great guy is Doidge.

    The Artful Doidger.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

The tynecastle derby edges it for Boyle I think.

Scott Allan for me. Not been at his best every game, but over the whole season he's been our best player IMO.

Scott Allan, Doidge and Boyle all the front runners at the minute. But there’s a lot of football to be played, so their could be outside chances for Newell, Omeonga & Docherty going in to the last few moths of the season.

I think the reason that Doidge edges it is because it’s not easy to adjust to a new team in a new league in a new country with a new manager - look at Vela.

Doidge struggled to begin with but now looks as if he’s been here for years. Sixteen for the season after a slow start is a phenomenal return, the best striker we’ve had since Griffiths.

Going with this reasoning re: new player in a new league. Yes it took him a while to start banging them in regularly but he never hid, never stopped trying to get in the right positions and looking for the ball and the goal. Hardworking since day one.

Got to be between Boyle and Doidge but for me Doidge edges it with the character he's shown.

Really good point. There could also be one or two others in contention by the end of the season.

The fact there's a few potential POTS is a great sign for us.

However, Doidge takes player of the season thus far. Worth every penny of his legendary transfer fee.

Plenty left too play for, hopefully he keeps up his form and goes well past the 20 goals mark. Not many Hibs players have done that in the past 40 years, maybe Cowan, Wright, Riordan and Griffiths?
Cummings did it three seasons in a row . Yes it was in the championship but still a great scoring record.

Boyle has done well since he came back from injury but he's missed a massive chunk of the season.

Doidge has to be the leading candidate but Scott Allan's contribution in terms of goals and assists is incredible. Many of those assists are passes no one else in Scotland, let alone at Hibs, would be able to see.

I'm torn between Doidge and Allan right now but erring towards Doidge for the same reasons as you.
