Thinking very prematurely, but who would everyone say has been our player of the season so far?
First half of the season, my vote would have gone to Hallberg, but he hasn't done much of note recently.
Now, I am torn between Martin Boyle and Christian Doidge who have both contributed hugely to our turn in form.

Vegan Nish. He’s been awesome since early November. Most consistent player too.
Kamberi? Just to get him back to the player of the year function 😁

Doidge for me the turnaround in him in the past 3 months has been phenomenal.

Currently Doidge. If Boyle can keep his form up then it’ll prob be him by the end of the season.

Doidge without a shadow of a doubt.

Martin Boyle. When the ugly sisters (Celtic mainly) are making a noise about a player then they are doing something right. Even if they weren't, it's MB easy.

It’s between Boyle or Doidge. I’d say Boyle, only just.

Tough because Boyle and Doidge were absent or out of form for quite a chunk of the season. Saying that so we're the rest of the squad. Doidge would be my choice, we don't get that many strikers scoring as often so he would be in the box seat for the award with Boyle close behind

Boyle by a mile IMO. We’re nowhere near as good a team without him in it. Hopefully we can get him on an extended contract as he’ll make us a lot of money.
Special mention for Doidge. He’s had a great 1st season with us.

Boyle being injured probably cost Hecky his job that and no DM his teams had zero pace were eye bleeding to watch Boyles pace put us on the front foot and brought goals
Would also be happy with Doidge

Christian Doidge. I was scathing as were many of us until about November about how much of a carthorse he apparently was, delighted at how wrong that’s turned out to be and also shows how daft it is to quickly write a player off. Newell is also now proving this, he’s turning out to be quality until the 6 weeks thought he was a no hoper.
Boyle’s been excellent, as has Scott Allan though he’s just not had the consistency of the other two mentioned''It's always been just part of the culture. Growing up, for most working-class kids, is all about football, music or clothes. You might not have much money, but whatever you have got, you're going to look good.'' - Paul Weller

Doidge ➡️ Allan ➡️ Boyle IMO.
Allan up to 19 (?) for goal involvement. Excellent stuff from all three this season.

However, Doidge takes player of the season thus far. Worth every penny of his legendary transfer fee.
Plenty left too play for, hopefully he keeps up his form and goes well past the 20 goals mark. Not many Hibs players have done that in the past 40 years, maybe Cowan, Wright, Riordan and Griffiths?

Quite difficult really and perhaps sums our season up. Doidge has found form but took his time to find his feet and Boyle has missed quite a chunk of the season with injury. It is supposed to be the player of the season not the player of part of it. I'll reserve judgement until the end of the campaign but I have a sneaking feeling it might not be any clearer then!! I'll go for whoever scores the winning goal in the cup final.

Boyle for me, he’s scored some really classy goals and contributed a fair number of assists. Wouldn’t argue if Doidge or indeed Scott Allan got the award though.
