Sorry if this has been done on another thread. I know it has been discussed that Boyle May be going to the Copa America, it is there any chance he could be called up for the Olympics also? I believe the Men’s Olympic tournament is an U23 event but that you can have some over age players. Copa America is from 12 June to 12 July and Olympics from 24th July to 9th August. Would be an amazing experience for the guy and could see his value rocket if he performs, but could also absolutely knacker him and affect our preparations for the early part of the season. Have Hibs ever had a player that has played at or gone on to play at the Olympics?

I would highly doubt that any of their squad who take part in Copa America will play at the Olympics a couple of weeks later.

They were discussing this on the radio today, apparently Egypt want Mo Salah for both tournaments.

Pretty sure big Yves was at the Olympics with Belgium in 2008. Not sure if anyone else has done so.

Olympics -Scottish Players
Ronnie Simpson played for Great Britain when he was with Queen Park before the Olympics became professional. He was one of my favourite players when I was growing up and despite my dismay when he went to Celtic I was pleased for him when he got the medals his play deserved
