They also have an inferior goal difference to St Mirren so they effectively need 4 points more than them to overtake them.

I reckon if St Mirren can avoid defeat on Friday then the best Hearts can hope for is 11th and take their chances in a play off.

They hardly ever score the first goal in a game and I reckon if they go behind against St Mirren and they can keep 11 men on the park, they won't be as open as Hamilton were yesterday. St Mirren have one of the best defensive records in the league.

The problem is they also have the worst attack in the league and rarely score more than once in a game.

Think their goal difference is only 8 worse than St Mirren so it's not effectively another point. Say they beat St Mirren 2-0 on Friday, as unlikely as that is , then it's suddenly only 4 goals. That's easily made up over 10 games.

Why would Stendel agree to that? Managers are not normally penalised if they resign as far as I am aware so I can't see that being true.

True but it also doesn't equate to effectively an additional point. If it was 20 goals it would but not 8. A hammering from Celtic or Rangers could wipe most of that out in 1 game .

Just think being 8 goals ahead is the better place to be and if the saints do ship a few it's quite a stretch to see a team with Hearts record scoring plenty and losing none.
