I was outside today so just listening to developmemts on the radio, but the Emma Barnett phone in on 5live had a sizeable number of just those kind of people. A lot of people still just Want Brexit Done at any cost.

Didn't Downing Street not put out statement previously saying he hadn't been at Barnard castle.

The only actual fake news out there seems to have been the piece his wife wrote about their "London lockdown".

he was only in the vicinity - he didn't visit the castle

How on earth do they manage without being part of the union?

Not all the tweets supporting Cummings are from bots & paid trolls.
    Don't be so ridiculous.
Some of them are Tory MPs.

I suppose Trump at least has the power to sack his advisors. In fact he’s always at it. Our ‘leader’ doesn’t seem to be able to do that.

I’m starting to go with the conspiracy that Cummings has photographic evidence of Boris doing something unpleasant and illegal. Possibly involving rubber and ruminant animals.
I am now convinced that Cummings has something on not just Johnson but several high profile Tories. It's the only explanation, I genuinely can't think of another reason why this government have stood behind this guy. The only explanation as to why they would put themselves through this farce is because they have to. Utterly mind blowing.

I'm glad that the PM saw fit to allow us to hear the full account from Cummings.

It just confirms to me that he's allowed his pal to stay in post, and to hell with anybody else.

His lack of judgement confirmed once more.

He has brought them everything they crave, BREXIT, Power, an 80 seat majority. He makes them tick. Johnson was never going to get rid of him.

    Johnson knows this. That’s why.

Liza Nandy makes a good point on Twitter.

“If Dominic Cummings turned up this late to the job centre he’d be sanctioned”.

  18. #12077
Telegraph's Johnson cheerleader in chief, Allison Pearson, has invented a friend to say ...

Non-media friend says she’s fed up of #DominicCummngs on the news. She wants to know when we get back to normal.
That's almost as convincing as the eye test!

He's good at what he does?

Disclaimer..... in the same way that Machiavelli and Rasputin were.

So his defence is he was worried about his eyesight so took his family out for a 30 mile drive to test if it was safe to err drive?

He's either thick as mince or a total ****. I know what one my money is on.

As an aside I have no sympathy for all these new Tory voters bleating about feeling like being let down. What exactly did they expect? Elitist acting like elitist. Tories gonna Tory.

Wouldn’t farmland with enough space for three separate properties be a better place to teat your driving ability than a 60 mile round drive with a wife child???

As someone pointed out above. All that driving around on one tank of fuel?
