Undoubtedly my favourite band of all time and reading through some of the great songs already posted nearly brought a smile on an otherwise boring typical work day

I always think with the Stones, it's funny how many people "love" them but aren't very aware of their albums and the sheer size of their backlog. I think most wouldn't have heard of the majority of my favourites... so when you meet and talk to another Stones-obsessed person, it really strikes a chord (pardon the pun). And indeed I started the same way, greatest hit style albums to get into them... and then delving into all their album work as I just couldn't get enough!

Anyway enough slavering. To answer the question:

Let it Loose. My favourite song ever. Period.

After that, I'm like others in that I would struggle to pick an order. Some honourable mentions however (at this moment in time) for:

    Sway
    Loving Cup
    Tumblin' Dice
Can't you hear me knocking (THIS is the intro for me)
    Far away eyes
    Just my imagination
    Dead Flowers
    Memo from turner
    Shine a light
    Sweet virginia
    Monkey man
    Tops
    Worried about you
    Rocks off

Ok I'll stop. What a band. Won't ever be beaten.

One of the few songs that will turn me into a blubbering wreck. Struggle to listen to it.

    All Down The Line.
I thought the Mick Taylor years were their best musically. They became a hard-edged rock band and started filling stadiums.
There’s a rare wee demo/bootleg of this kicking about. Hard to be sure from memory but may be on “unreleased decca” or something like that.

Over the years I’ve enjoyed listening to it more than the released final version!

In general I like that. When you already like a song and get hold of an alternative or demo/acoustic version

    Sympathy for the Devil.

After that anything from Exile on Mainsteet. The Mick Taylor years were their finest IMO.

So many, I have always loved No Expections from Beggars Banquet.
Rolled Gold is a great collection amongst many greatest hits collections

Just had a magic afternoon walking into Arthurs Seat, flickering between a playlist of these and others, and Keith Richards autobiography on Audiobook. Superb day

I have a penchant for As tears go by. But like The Beatles, too many to choose from.

Not a stones fan but Gimme Shelter is outstanding.
