    Paul McGinn

Not sure if discussed elsewhere but just wanted to point out how impressed I was with him last night. Kept Kent quiet throughout (who is vastly overrated) and put on a solid display.. Judging by comments I have seen from St Mirren fans since he left we may have a new Mr Reliable / Consistency at us. Nothing flashy just committed and knows how to defend. Should be first choice RB going forward. Potentially in certain games be interested to see how he would do in a CDM role.

Kent is a bit inconsistent but on his day he is a brilliant player.

It is to McGinn’s great credit that he had a quiet evening.

He was excellent, a stand out actually and to think some on here we disgusted with that "type" of signing and wanted him nowhere near the club..... Captain material imo.

He is exactly what we needed strong and steady. Does the basics very well.

we've got McGinn, super Paul McGinn
I just don't think you understand,
his brother John has gone, so we've had to change the song.

Looking good. Strong and important acquisition in an area we were struggling in with Naismith's unfortunate injury.

Theresa May type signing. He’s got a great attitude and done well last night though.

Taking out the 'so' just so it fits better, but I really like that.

That is pretty good, but as good as a defender I'm sure he will turn out to be for us I don't think the song fits a players like that

Been really impressed with him so far. Not sure about using Johns song for him though. That should be retired and a new one made for Paul.

Was a lot more composed on the ball and quicker than I expected.

Done a brilliant overlap in the first half and looked rapid.

I'm guessing it's a reference to "strong and stable".

Arguably our best player last night.

Barring injury, he’ll be our right back for the rest of the season.

    It's a good effort.

I'm not sure we should be singing songs about us singing/making songs though.

Must admit I was sceptical when he was linked with us but great to hear that he's impressing.

McGinn on the right, put in a cheeky bid for Taylor for left back to challenge Lewis and we are looking good.

He said a couple of times in his Hibs TV interview that he was pretty fast and faster than he looks.

“Not the player to take us where Hibs want to go” is one of my favourite bits of nonsense.

I will settle for signing players that improve us. Seems like PM fits the bill. And if we always sign players that improve us, then we are in for good times ahead.

    Agree!

RB: McGinn/Naismith if we sign him
    CB: Hanlon/Daz
    CB: Jackosn/Porto
    LB: Lewie/Taylor

Would be great. Ideally sign another CB as cover/starter and SDG to throw in when fully fit and match sharp and that is more than decent.

    Who is Taylor?

Surely not the guy at Celtic?

It actually highlights how poor we have been defensively when a player who is simply a decent and dependable pro steps in and immediately looks a stand out.
