Bit of a comeback from Thiem but Djokovic takes the opening set 6-4.

He'll be difficult to stop from here.

  4. #3
Thiem took the lead in the second set but Djokovic levels at 4-4.

  5. #4
Thiem takes the second set 6-4 after Djokovic has a bit of a meltdown after first getting a warning and then losing his first serve for taking too long to serve. He then has a go at the umpire at the change of ends.

  6. #5
Djokovic has collapsed - 4-0 Thiem 3rd set.

  7. #6
Thiem 2 sets to 1 up now after winning the 3rd set 6-2.

  8. #7
Djokovic wins the 4th set 6-3.

    We're into a 5th and deciding set.

  9. #8
    Djokovic wins 6-4 4-6 2-6 6-3 6-4.

Good match, I'm sure Thiem will be winning Grand Slams soon enough.

More gamesmanship from the apparently 'injured' Djokovic though when he was on the ropes. He's pulled that time-out trick his whole career to unsettle his opponent and it's a major reason he remains such an unloved champion despite his 'nice guy' facade. It used to drive Andy Murray nuts.

You could say that opponents should just shut it out, but when you're on a victory roll like Thiem was it must be hugely disruptive when your opponent basically brings the game to a halt.

Needless to say not a hint of discomfort from Djokovic after forcing a final set.

Yip, almost five minutes between winning the 3rd set to starting the 4th. Djokovic uses that time after time because it works. He is an amazing player though, I just can't take to him
