Cup tie at home for United, Premier league team visiting, big noisy crowd, they are doing well, confidence is high, they are scoring a decent amount of goals against poor defences, and we have a poor defence, so we'll probably go out and win ... I'll be very surprised if we do though
    Sounds like us v Aberdeen.

I can see the headlines being that a Hibs daft midfielder runs the show and knocks his boyhood heroís out of the cup.

Iím wondering, are there some amongst us travelling to this game expecting us to get beaten?

Massive game in terms of our season. Cup run will keep some interest.

We only have a slim chance of catching Motherwell and Aberdeen. Theyíre well ahead of us and making moves to strengthen. We will add at some point, Iím sure, but the cup is our most realistic chance of doing anything this season.

Hadnít really thought about how important it is..but you are right ...we need to win to keep a chance of achieving something exciting alive ....

Neither had I. But to even have a chance of catching Motherwell and Aberdeen we probably need to win 11 or 12 games out of 17. I donít think this team have it in them to do that.

United are on a roll, but they havent met anyone like us, they may score but i think it will be a comfortable 3-1 win for us. Tbh a 1-0 last minute win would do me

Thats a real shame for him, hes been having a stormer of a season.

They did say in commentary that when he went down, one of the other players turned away in a "cant look" kind of way so you knew it was a bad one.

He really is one of the guys who pulls the strings for Utd so a bit of a blow for them - cant see it affecting them winning the league though.

I have been to countless away games expecting us to lose. To be fair in the vast majority of these games that's exactly what we do.

Nah. Iíve been travelling 45 years and canít say I expect defeat in the majority of games far less vast.

Always start with low expectations then anything half decent is a bonus.

I wonder if the Utd fans will still boo Scott Allan? and I suspect the answer is Yes in which case 0:1 (Allan pen).

Hibs are 13/10 to win with Utd 2/1. Decent prices.

    United we stand here....

Hope the bookies are reading it better than me - I'd have us slightly closer together in the betting.

2-4 Hibs. A brace for Shankland and a hat-trick for Kamberi. Boyle to get our fourth.

Think the recent cup semi against Celtic is the only time Iíve traveled through to a game ,pretty much knowing we would lose .
