Really good article but still manages to avoid the "sectarian problems" from the stands but mentions the small amount of racism!

Funny that, lots of people on here say he's a Hun. Top trolling by Tom there.

English says that Morelos has been subject to sectarian and racist abuse? I wonder if he is confused and thinks the term Hun is linked to religion.

That aside, good article, well worth a read.

"Morelos has been subjected to hateful and sectarian language by Celtic fans."

So Morelos, A Roman Catholic, has been the victim of sectarian abuse by Celtc Fans?

What religion Morelos might or might not be is inconsequential to a bigot who shouts sectarian nonsense. There’s not much logic to their abuse and all about their own prejudices in their own warped world. So perfectly plausible for Celtic fans to have given Morelos sectarian abuse IMO.

That's the old firm fans mindset for you. It's like fans of the old Rangers who were singing about killing Roman Catholics and Fenians while Lorenzo Amoroso was lifting trophy after trophy for them and crossing himself etc. To be fair, it's hard to be too critical of them when they're too thick to understand what they're angry at.

The normal fan rivalry is biased, myopic, sometimes a bit nasty and sometimes witty or amusing. It’s part of the war-by-proxy of sport, and as much a necessary safety valve for society as something to be regretted.

The Old Firm take it to another, nastier level altogether.

When will the powers that be in Scotland take them on?

LOL! Sanctimonious drivel dressed up in faux outrage. What's his point? The Old Filth are the lifeblood of what passes for sports journalists (ha!) in Scotland. And when they're not sooking it up they're stoking it up. They want controversy, the fights and the ****ty refereeing, the red cards, so they can talk about it ceaselessly for the next few months till the next bigotfest comes along.

Give it a rest, Uncle Tom. You're a mediocre journalist who gets to pretend you're some big deal spraffing on about giants - ha! - as if anyone outside Belfast and Dublin gives two shiny *****s. In England, you would be working for the equivalent of the Haddington Courier.

And by the way if those dobbers are giants then what in the name of Jesus are Barcelona and Real Madrid?

Started to read it but lost interest after a few sentences. The Old Firm and their petty squabbles just bore me.
