Son wanting his room painted same shade of green as the Scottish Cup winning top. Does anybody know the name of that shade of green?

just a tip - i was going to paint my room this colour once, but ended up only doing one wall, painted another wall a much lighter green (almost pastel green), and left the other two walls and ceiling white. It meant that the room was much brighter, and that you could actually appreciate the deep green of the darker wall, as it was better illuminated. if you paint all the walls that dark a green they'll look darker than they really are, unless the room gets a huge amount of light from windows

Just a wee tip the dark green will be a very expensive tint
I would be more inclined to use the crown decorating centre in Leith
Edina paints on Howe Street in town
Or Russel paints on the South side round the corner from argyle place on the meadows
Depending on what side of the town you live

Youll be amazed how good it looks (better than one feature wall for sure IMO) no matter the size of the room.

Just went to Google this, as I recall it came up before regarding the colour of the paint used at the stadium.
Turns out I posted here:

I guess therefore that that there is a RAL code for the cup final green also?

What top? The 1902 top was a similar colour.
Also a little off topic I think for 150th we should go back to harp as a badge and maybe even the hoops

Remembering our roots is always good.
We could really milk it and try for Cow and Gate as shirt sponsors.
As for Shades of Green.
We have had as many as the classic Johnny Cash song.
However ,as the old Hibs song goes...
We're the Boys in Emerald Green
We're the best you've ever seen .......
And another old favourite sung many years ago at The Holy Ground.
"St Patrick's day no more we'll keep .
The colours can't be seen
They're hanging men and women for the wearing o' the Green !!
To paraphrase the old Henry Ford Motors ad...
You can have any colour you want.
As long as it is Green !Last edited by Mick O'Rourke; 04-01-2020 at 10:17 PM.
