If LG was loaned to us and started scoring and during that period Celtic had a game or 2 that they failed to score Lennon would lose the Celtic support and likely be punted.

I think the risks are to high for him. If they let a striker go and they fail Lennon is finished.
i would love it to happen .. but this post hits the nail on the head

So nobody has any concrete evidence that LG moving to Hibs has even been considered* then.

    * By Hibs or Celtc.

Would have happened by now. Celtic too small time now to try and buy a top striker for the europa league.

Anyone remember the SJM affair? Or the Neil Lennon, Leeann Dempster debacle ?

Like I’ve already said, this was never going to happen

That was more of a Petrie Lawwell issue.

Yeah, indeed. Allan rightfully wasn't willing to give up money he was due, Leigh would be the same.

I understand perfectly well. His full wages have to be payed or he needs to waive them. Why would Celtic loan him to a division rival for 10% of his wages?
It happens all the time. Do you think that that Hibs paid the full wages for the likes of Brandon Barker?

There are advantages for Celtic to get a player gametime and establish match fitness. He could then play against all other teams but Celtic.

Doesn’t look like he’ll be heading our way. In the same breath I’d say, I hope Boyle doesn’t go up the M8.

I doubt Celtc will let a historic grudge get in the way of business.

Also, if they stop to think for a moment, Hibs were absolutely vindicated in rejecting Celtc's initial offer for SJM. They screwed up the deal, not us.

Are Man City a divisional rival? That's totally different.

There really aren't many benefits to Celtic loaning him out, especially because he might struggle to get fit and do well for us.

Celtic, understandably, will only settle for a deal which suits them 100%. I think they will be content to keep LG at Parkhead and I think his preference would be to stay there and prove a point. Our short term future lies with who we get through the door this window and we have to look elsewhere.

I’m not fussy about Griffiths staying at Parkhead. I’m more concerned about Boyle going in the opposite direction.

I have been told by a good friend of a Celtic Director that Sparky is on £22k per week. I prepare to be shot down but I can only say what I have heard.

If true, no chance of him coming here.

I’ve heard that as well. Even if we could chip in with, say, 3 or four grand, I’m sure Celtic would prefer him to stay put.

Celtic have asked Hibs for 50% - £11k per week allegedly.
