We're going to get murdered in midfield.

I guess looking on the bright side, Jack Ross learns a lesson today.

Not happy with that team at all.
    Shoogly peg already?

Worried also. Hallberg is going to have to do a lot of tackling or our defence, which looks like it'll buckle under any pressure, is going to be under the cosh all day with what you'd assume would be predictable results.....

You've got the wrong end of the stick.
I don't expect to know everything that is going on but in the modern hibs.net world we entertain ourselves by discussing such things online and spout our theories based on what we know, what we don't know and what we might reasonably expect to happen
People idiotically getting annoyed because the club don't tell us everything is a completely different matter and i have never been in that camp.
Time to set off for Easter Rd.

I dont understand the Bogdan thing. Only here until January I believe but doesn't even get on the bench. Surely a long term plan somewhere?

Dropping Slivka has proved form doesn’t keep you in the team

Yes it is but they have to attack to make it work. Blood and thunder for 90 minutes...come on Hibs

    Nah.

To be honest, this is the team I expected him to start with in his first game. It accommodates our best players and I think it is intuitively what most people who don't watch Hibs would pick as being our best team.

We've had experience of watching it in practice and it doesn't work. I reckon Ross had to learn that for himself at some point, why not today.

Aberdeen’s midfield is utter mince and caused us no problems up there.

Positivity man! Mon the Hibs, hit them at pace and rip them to bits. Sheep ****ging ****s.

Really bizarre to arrive and see a steward refusing Darren McGregor access with his car because the turnstiles are open. Not a brilliant idea to be late but we actively allow cars to travel through the crowds to park between the East/ FF

Ross is going to find out the hard way that Mallan and Allan can't play together.
Might work with Mallan playing further forward . He’s definitely not a dm .

    Really concerned about the midfield.

Slivka and Hallberg have added bite and protection.

Allan not being playing well so not sure why it wasn’t a straight swap.

Anyway..we can’t have a go saying we are defensive but except goals.

Murdered them at Pittodrie under Heckingbottom. Should have been 4/5-0. I'll go for 3-1 Hibs.

Hibs have been woeful in the back third this season. Need to improve big time today.

The dreaded Mallan Allan combo.. that ain’t going to cut it v the sheep.

Looking forward to the game despite recent performances, the team might actually be really up for this - full concentration required for 90 minutes+ ...

Hanlon is the weakest link in defence he has been responsible for so many goals we have lost this season (and others) and like you, I don’t see how he can keep his place.

i hope I am wrong but he could repeat the process again today!

    It’s hardly Barcelona away.

echo some of the sentiments. Allan, Mallan and Boyle v the big nasty sheep.
Can't understand for the life of me Mallan in and Slivka out. That's a lot of mobility to give up in the middle. Don't think Slivka deserves to be dropped and Mallan was poor for me coming on v Killie.
Hope to be wrong but got the fear. Kamberi, Doidge, Mallan, Allan, Boyle all attacking. Good luck Melker

Slivka and bite don’t belong in the same sentence. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised last Saturday he was great, never looked like producing that performance in all the times I have watched him. Apparently back to usual today n Wednesday, JR probably picked up on that.

I've never bee a great Hanlon fan, but IMO our defensive woes are not all down to him, or Lewis for that matter - it's a collective thing (a team thing) and - anyway - we don't have anyone to really come in and replace these guys ...

Mallan is good at what he does, but in that defensive midfield role any midfielder in the top 3 leagues in Scotland would relish coming up against him.

He just doesn’t have what it takes to play there, especially against one of the better and most importantly more physical sides in the league.

Midfield diamond by the looks of it.

Halberg sitting, Allan at the tip and Boyle and Mallan at the side.

Very good start. Mallan forcing Lewis into an early save.
