The player that could singlehandedly turn the flow of a game around just by using his arse. What a player he is. The way he'd make surging runs with the ball just when we needed him to.

Indeed, and the BBC aren't allowed to advertise. Allegedly.

I miss him. My favourite player in 46 years of attending ER. Disclaimer, too young to really remember Pat Stanton playing.

God I miss him. That cup win, that goal at Ibrox, that goal in Greece. A true legend who deserves everything that is going to inevitably come his way.

It’s the goal in Greece that gets me. He was away, but he gave that game as much as any other. A complete professional. He will just go higher and higher, and we helped set him up for that*. Boundless pride!

    * - So did St Mirren. Fair’s fair.

Same here, older fans talk of Stanton with a reverence that I'm sure we will continue to hold SJM in for decades to come. Very pleased that he spent time with us, was a pleasure to watch, genuine living legend who gave all for the shirt,Not sure we will see his like again.

Feel like a proud dad seeing him progress in England, beleive that he can get better still and will play at a higher level yet, be it with Arsenal Man United or even Liverpool, he has all the attributes to be that good.

If there was ever a modern day player for any up and coming professional footballer to model themself on it is this man. A credit to his family and a fantastic ambassador for every club he has respresented. I'll continue to follow his career like a proud father and be extremely thankful that he was on our side on my greatest day as a Hibs fan.

Took every opportunity to talk very well about his time at Hibs. Says he often sees fans in the crowd down south wearing Hibs tops

Good bit with mcginn. Shame about that Richards. "You only ever see celtic and rangers. Sometimes aberdeen"

One bloody thing I hate about living in Melbourne is missing things like this !! Missed the Lewis Stevenson one a few weeks back as well

And Andy Murray talking up Hibs a bit at the end, a good showing for the club today! Predicts a 2-0 win for Hibs today 👌

It’s not his fault that’s all you see as an English tv viewer.

Richards also remarked that he thought SJM was a 40 or 50 million pound player......

Even the most die hard Jambo would struggle not to like McGinn. One of the good guys in football

They surely see the same Scottish football as we do. Apart from Sportscene, they have the same Sky and BT subscriptions in England as we do in Scotland.

    Just watched the full interview.

It says a lot for his feelings for us when he picks the Scottish Cup win over scoring the winner in the play off final 💚

he is just a top bloke as well as a cracking player. Hopefully he is nowhere near peak SJM yet.
