Mate, it’s all alloy wheels these days, no real market for hub caps.

So you're full-time Ticket Touting now then?

In France the vast majority of shops are closed on Sundays, with those that are open requiring special permission to do so.

    They're not all bust.
In Spain too. No trucks allowed on the motorway. Quite right everyone needs at least one day off.

It's not like people who work Sundays never get a day off.

OK, so if you work in a shop you should count yourself lucky to see your kid(s) one Sunday in three or four?

No one is suggesting that, however getting your days off midweek when your children are at school isn’t great.

Germany and Austria have quite strict rules on Sunday Trading as well. I think there's only a few Sundays in the year when every shop can be open but some regions have less of those days than others (e.g. Bavaria).

They have the same rule on Truck Drivers (mentioned in an earlier post) as well.

I'm with Scouse on this one, as it must be a nightmare for people with kids having to work most weekends. OK. it's an inconvenience for people having less days for shopping but I'm sure they'd cope,

In Poland shops can only open on the last Sunday of the month although there are exemptions for small owner operated convenience stores.
