What if the board aren’t interested in Jack Ross?
I sincerely hope they aren't. Amazing made Sunderland even worse

Not really, who is to say he would come to Hibs over Hearts? Can/will Hearts offer more money, with their fans contributions they can certainly afford to. Is he even worth pushing the boat out for?

We all want Hecky gone, I think he will be after the weekend regardless, but to say our board has failed just because Hearts may get a manager in that SOME fans also want is not a failure of the board. The board for all we know may have other people in mind.
And the proof will only come if he goes on to do well at either club.
He is a strong candidate for either club. Has a good record in Scotland and although Sunderland didn’t work out, it’s not a club where managers have been doing well recently.
In my mind, if they go for him and it works out well for them while we struggle on, the board won’t be forgiven easily.

On the plus side they have both said they often phone the other for advice.......

That’s entirely possible given we have a recruitment department not interested in Lawrence Shankland.

A Hibs mate says he thinks potential managers will hang on for the big Edinburgh club job... which surprised me since Edinburgh City are flying 🤔

It’s important because for some strange reason the club think our recruitment has been great.

Why is everyone obsessing over Jack Ross? one good season at St Mirren. He will be Cathro MKII at Hearts if he goes.

Dont want him anywhere near Easter Road if Heckingbottom gets sacked.

He's miles ahead of Cathro. Not even close.

Time for the club to be bold and get a new HC and assistant now.

I wonder if they’ll have another sell out testimonial for such a legend?

It will be interesting to see who his replacement will be - they will soon be fan owned so will be even more reliant upon FoH to keep subsidising their overspending. I just can't see his replacement being a "top name"; I don't think that they could afford that.

Think Gary Holt would be a good fit for them.

    And Alloa.

Knows the Scottish game very well, young and has a point to prove.

Would understand the size of club we are and what the fans demand.

Heckys much better, he’s just been unlucky. Hopefully the pull a Brian Hamilton out the bag.

How did he make a team worse that was relegated two years in a row by taking them to a playoff final? That’s clearly building some sort of stability.

Strange that he’s staying at the club. It’s good decision for them and a bad one as well because he’s got an unreal derby record. But just shows how timid the Hibs board are by not removing Heckingbottom

Jambos at my work say that there is some shareholder meeting that Budge was due to attend tonight. It's not the AGM but some other gig they do regularly and it's her turn to attend tonight. This morning they were saying she wouldn't turn up / she better turn up / she better sack him before the days out. Seems she knew what to expect and she obviously wanted to make tonight a bit easier for her so got shot of CL before the meeting.

    when's our AGM

To be fair Levein has been utter ***** for 12 months. Heckingbottom has been poor for about 7 months now .

They’re first into the sweety shop - we’ll be along shortly getting all the same CVs.

Just when I thought I couldn’t feel any more depressed about us holding onto Pat Calderbottom.

Be interesting to see if hearts get a lift on sunday now. Their fans certainly will which in turn gives them a slightly better chance than if levein was still there. Still think rangers will beat them.

    Yep.

A sacked Sunderland manager would fill me with dread to be honest. Gary Holt is a rising star and worth a step up.

He led them to the lowest league finish in their history and didn't look much like improving on that this season.

Is he retiring or will he turn up somewhere else? An entire career with ZERO trophies!
