I know it's a bit of a non story and it's the Daily Record but I'd imagine Dylan will be plying his trade somwehe else next season

Maybe now Lennon has gone he might be interested in coming to us. I imagine Aberdeen and their seemingly infinite pot of gold will win him over though.

Sounds like we'll definitely be bringing in a defensive midfielder in January but that's about it. I'd be happy with that. Rest of the squad is strong

Be interesting what sort of player he wants to play the holding midfield role. Will it be a defensive type like Bartley or a deep lying playmaker like Mcgeouch?

Interesting he says he doesn’t think it’s Hallbergs natural role which I think many agree with although he’s done a good job in there. Hallberg, Allan and another quality centre mid in there is exciting.

Id also like to see us bring in another Centre half, left back, winger and striker too, however appreciate they won’t all be addressed into January.

Some Aberdeen fans saying they’re signing Matthew Kennedy and Stephen O’Donnell on a pre contract in January.

No idea if true but would be decent signings.

O’Donnell especially would be a very good signing for them.

    Don’t see it myself.

    He’s a terrible footballer IMO.

I don’t think he’s international level, but a good player at our level IMO.

Agreed and one i would have loved to have seen at Easter Road, now though I'd love if we could do a deal for Naismith, hes looking better every week and still only 25.

Hardly 😂. I'd take him here in a minute.

I’m also a big fan of Naismith. Never got a proper pre season but had really kicked on this past month or so, gets up and down the line brilliantly and has an end product.

Scored a screamer and has also came close on a couple of occasions, great striker on him.

Defensively he is getting sharper and more solid too.

Would hope we can do a permanent deal for him.

    For us or Aberdeen?

Id imagine if he became available Mcinnes would chuck money at him again.

Hopefully he saw that the Aberdeen's anti football style of play wouldnt suit him at all.

A lot of Hallbergs highlights on Youtube (I know, I know) show him driving forward with the ball and having shots at goal, I wonder if we brought in a Bartley type defensive midfielder to release him to play further up the field if he could play more of a SJM role ?

He's certainly improved in recent weeks and looks like he's fully fit. Hopefully he maintains the good form and gives us a decent option at RB. Not sure what his contract situation is, but definitely worth a place in the side just now.

Yup. Never good enough for internationals but he’d be a very good signing in our league.

Yeah that’s my view. Good in our league but not good enough for Scotland.

I'm yet to be totally convinced by Naismith - he is after all part of this defence that has been leaking goals - but he's certainly improving every week.

I must admit I think O'Donnell's a better player than McKenna. He was embarrassingly bad on Saturday & I suspect Dons may be trying to offload him before he's completely found out.

I don’t disagree with that. McKenna is a career SPL defender. That’s it. Their valuation and the bids they’ve apparently knocked back make no sense.

Wouldn't say great, competent, but not great.
A fully fit David Gray is , by far , a better option.

This!!! Naismith can’t tackle constantly backs of a player allowing them into our box before he even attempts at tackling. Offensively he’s probably the best defender at that, but his actual job defending he’s brutal.

Our Head Coach was a right back. He should be able to improve his defending.

I hope so cause as I’ve said offensively he’s had 2 assists and 1 goal can’t really knock him for that especially as a RB and he’s a threat at set pieces, but defensively he needs to improve as I would say our problem atm is keeping goals out.

I’d forgotten our Head Coach has scored a goal for us earlier in his career!
