A call off as close as possible to kick off please to ensure maximum Jambo disruption.
I heard the pitch inspection is due for 3:30

    Hearts *******s for me.

Cringe when I hear the term Duncan’s and didn’t find the sketch that started it funny in the slightest but each time their own, who am I to decide what’s funny or not or what people should call the hearts *******s, it’s up to them.

I find the whole concept of derogatory nicknames for rival teams pretty cringeworthy to be honest. "Yam" is the absolute worst because it's only used on here and if you used that term at ER no one would have the faintest idea what you were talking about.

Hearts should just forfeit the game for the safety of their fans and take the 3-0 defeat. Would be a cracking result for them

I would rather it was game on, stuck in traffic in the pissing rain and wind for hours, get pumped on tv keeping them rooted to the bottom and a ***** journey back to Gorgie.

Depends which way you look at it. Yes it would have been great to see them get beat tonight, or even grind out a turgid draw, but on the off chance they had capitalised on a leg-weary St Mirren and sneaked a win it would have given them some impetus to start pulling clear of the drop zone.

However, with St Mirren already facing Motherwell next midweek it presumably means the yams' next game will be the cup tie against the huns which they'll go into without any sort of morale-boosting form behind them. With a bit of luck they'll get sent crashing out the cup and see spirits sink even further. Yes, I know it would probably be better from a Hibs perspective to have the huns out the cup, but in terms of sending the yams down I'd suggest we need to see the misery piled on for them.

An ideal scenario for me would be to have the St Mirren game rescheduled for the midweek following the cup game and for a demoralised Hearts to slump to defeat in Paisley.
Aren’t we playing them the midweek after the cup game? Apart from that you’ve got sound logic 😁

Yeh, I realised that after I posted and deleted that bit but you were too quick for me

Even better perhaps to see them crash out the cup and follow it up with a derby defeat

That's at least the third time that has been suggested.

Hopefully that's the start of a fixture pile up in time for the derby.....

  25. #4284
A winter break and a league split is asking for trouble with fixtures. The governing bodies of Scottish football have no limits on messing things up!

Imagine Hamilton win tomorrow, and next time they trot out they are skelped in the derby. Is there any coming back from that?

The forecast as well as the state of the pitch was a factor in the call-off and the weather's due to get worse tonight so they won't consider that.

Doesn’t that mean their next (r)outing in the league is against us?
