"Really enjoyed the press conference. Ann spoke really well and the enthusiasm radiated from Daniel. He seems extremely likeable which is just what we need. Delighted."

Taffin will be promoted from Glass Curtain Wall technician to Elevator Operative (top level) for their loyalty.

Being in the court of Queen Ann has its rewards.

That presser was like an old episode of the office - ridiculous cringe levels.

Can see Levein taking over as stand in when Stendal gets sacked just before the split.
They technically haven't sacked Levein or Mcphee, imagine they have to pay Barnsley compo and Stendel was a complete dud I doubt they'd have the finical clout to sack him

It's like the end of an episode of Scooby-Doo! Replace the villain with whoever is currently in the PBS managerial hotseat, only to be unmasked and revealed as none other than Craig Levein! Repeat ad infinitum...

  9. #368
If someone came in for Mr Levein would Mrs Budge demand compensation or just let him go because he's been sacked/told to stand down. Wonder if her tune would change

It's great, he sounds like the sort of guy who will come back and pull pints for charity events after he's sacked.

    Charging them for it naturally.

I came away from Tynecastle yesterday feeling uneasy and unconvinced by Daniel Stendel’s appointment @JamTarts. He seemed unkempt and unclear on various issues. I really admire Ann Budge - I just hope she’s called this right.

No way would she pay any compensation to his next club.

Exactly what I thought. Language barrier or not, to come out and say he'd never heard of Hearts was bizzare to say the least

That will not go down well with the supporters of one of the biggest clubs in the world who refer to themselves as ‘the famous’

That famous even their manager hadn’t heard of them? That’s embarrassing for all parties.

Budge admitted she felt "extra pressure" to get the appointment right "because I did not have a director of football guiding me".

So let me get this straight, sack Levein as manager and D.O.F., receive no guidance from now absent D.O.F. in appointing new manager which adds "extra pressure".

Upon appointing new manager then reappoint old D.O.F. to job share with 'new' D.O.F. (McPhee), both 'new' D.O.F.'s have remained at the club - in some capacity - the whole time (but provided no guidance on managerial appointment).

This is an episode from The Office:

Gareth - "I'm the assistant manager"

David - "You're assistant to the general manager"

Sprinkle in a German Gerard Depardieu impersonator whose never heard of the club he is about to manage and this should be quite a ride.

"Hearts to give Daniel Stendel funds for January signings - but he must ship players out"

Anderson at his finest. Headline should read "no new players unless we can ship out some of the deadwood our new sporting directors signed."

    What a shambles

    This gets better and better.

Hearts employ a sacked snake who won none of his last 10 games. He knows nothing about Scottish football, hadn't ever heard of the club he's just joined or their city rivals, turned up clearly pissed or hungover for his first interview and insulted a reporters Scottish accent. This is absolutely superb. Hope it never ends.

That press conference is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. His smirking at Budge getting a grilling at the Barnsley dispute was brilliant.

Speirs was using code...for "Unkempt" read "Pi$#ed or Hungover.

Barnsley have hinted at "other matters" and given his behaviour in licensed premises we can all draw conclusions.

They are properly going mad across the road!

The whole of Scotland is laughing at them and they are fuming.

One even said “every time we are about to break the status quo in Scotland, the knives come out for us”

The delusion is just off the scale!

Break the status quo? Do they realise they've just appointed Daniel Stendel and are joint bottom of the league? What's wrong with that lot? Not even quietly optimistic or even realistic

  31. #390
Private Eye would have described Stendel as ‘tired and emotional’.
