    £52 a ticket.

Apparently celtic fans are being charged £52 a pop for their game at ibrox. £52 to watch a game of football in Scotland, mental.

Really hope we don’t start seeing this creeping into the Edinburgh Derby - £32/33/34 is already too much IMO.

Shouldn't be allowed to charge away fans more than the home fans.

If people are stupid enough to pay these prices then the Clubs will charge them.

    Don't pay.

It's far too much, for what is usually a terrible spectacle football-wise. Should be £25 at the absolute maximum, but really more like £20.

The fans will dry up again one day, and it's because boardrooms all over the country milk them for all their worth without giving a toss what they think about prices, atmosphere and whatever else makes football worth going to.

I’m relaxed about it. I’ve already got my ticket. That’s why we buy season tickets.

Not so good when you’re charged the same amount to attend Tynie though, far too much for a game of football no matter where it is

Isn’t there a rule about away fans can’t be charged more than home fans - so there has to be seats available in the home section for same price (not including hospitality)
Also - doesn’t Germany have a cap on ticket prices too?

Indeed, although the cynic in me screams "blatant profiteering" and total disregard for the lifeblood of the game. I.E. the supporters.

Correct. However it's also a conscious decision to rip fans off.

They're not. It'll be £52 for Rangers fans too. However they sold 48000 season tickets, take the 800 Celtic tickets plus 500 for segregation and between normal and hospitality seats you'll have around 1000 seats for sale to Rangers fans. With them on the up and a fanbase over the Uk and Norn Ireland they'll punt them no bother at all.

Huns will get charged £52 for Parkhead too btw. Celtic and Sevco hate each other that much their boards get round the table and agree on a set price.

I presume Celtc Fans are up in arms about their own club charging the same amount for the New Firm derby at Darkheid.

Football fans are mugs, I include myself in that.

Clubs command a brand loyalty other companies can only dream off, in the business world Apple is probably about as close as it gets. They treat their customer base accordingly. I understand football clubs are commercial ventures and it's business and all that but £52 a ticket for a 90 minute game is verging on ridiculous. It will sell out though, as it would if it was £70,£80 or £100a ticket. If fans pay it, the prices will keep going up. Clubs know that for every one fan that takes a stand another 3 will happily buy their ticket.

It’s probably the going rate for a game between they two in all honesty.

I do like to wind them up about that. Brother Walfrid "meals will be put on the dining tables of poor" all over Parkhead. But we'll also charge £50+ for a game of fitba in the poorest area in Scotland.

I know 2 who got lucky in the ballot and will be in the Celtic section and aren't fussed about the price. I was £50 last season. Even before the huns died it was £40+ a ticket. It's not new to them.

52 quid for a Scottish league game is disgraceful and a total pish take. It will still be a full house, but countless others are simply priced out of the game.

It's a joke. But they'd be charging £1000 tickets if they knew they could sell out on them.

Some will call it supply and demand. Some see it as gross profiteering. Years ago I tried to book a hotel in Dublin and couldn’t understand why, when I phoned every hotel, they quoted prices 4 or 5 times the advertised ones. Turned out Ireland were playing France at rugby and the prices were inflated out of recognition. I understand the theory of supply and demand but can’t accept and stomach the greed that often goes along with it. If I’m out of touch, as might be suggested, with the reality of the situation, why is it that companies like Viagogo get slated for their profiteering? If somebody is stupid enough to pay silly prices then surely they are justified.
