    Partick Thistle will scud us?

    Aye ok.
They probably won't scud us, but you just KNOW Kenny Miller will score against us

Regarding ticket allocations for League Cup games:

In the Scottish Cup, visiting clubs have the right to request 20% of available tickets (with some conditions). There is no such rule in the League Cup, meaning if we are drawn away to Celtc or DeHun , they would be within their rights to give us 2-300 tickets, if they wanted to.

I don't agree, though, that we would only be able to sell 900 tickets for a midweek tie at Ibrox. We could still sell two or three thousand.... if they actually offered us that many.
I’m sure Celtic would give us a few more, not sure about our friends from Govan though!

On current form, with that squad and manager and not forgetting our last outing at Ibrox. I disagree.

The game is over a month away, we could be on a 5 game unbeaten run by then which would include a derby win.

That would get people wanting to attend.

Its hard enough to get people to go to places like Parkhead and Ibrox. There were around 50 tickets left unsold for our game there a week ago. If we can't shift 900 for a 3pm Sunday game what chance have we got shifting 2-3000 for a Midweek cup match.

Probably, Billy, just illustrating that it would actually be within the rules if they did so.

FWIW, I don't think DerHun would actually give us such a low amount, or they would have done that for the last league game. I also think Celtc would most likely give us as much as we want.

They did for the Ayr game last season, and Ayr could have sold loads more. Think their argument is they have season tickets holders in the areas around the corner we get, and they can’t move them

Let's just hope we're not drawn against either of them in the next round, then.

    :)

Aye because a team that concedes 9 goals in 2 games, with an injured, ageing defence is one to be scared of right enough.
A team that has only lost one game is definitely a team to avoid in cup football surely? You’re unlikely to progress against a team that doesn’t often lose.

That is bull****. The League Cup matches are not included in the season ticket.

Hibs have been given a whole end at Ibrox in Scottish Cup matches in the past.

    Scottish Cup has different rules
Presume Rangers like Hibs, allow their fans to buy their season ticket seat, for Cup ties!

QUOTE=Hermit Crab;5894345]Aye we did - on a Saturday - with a decent team and manager, we also hadn't lost 6-1 to Rangers in the previous game.

These quarters are also a Tuesday/Wednesday night. Any talk of taking 5-6000 to either of the OF midweek is dreamland.[/QUOT

I think HC is correct on this one, not a Saturday and certainly not a similar team

Of course we could . To say we could only take 900 /1000 for a midweek cup game , with a place at Hampden at stake , is ridiculous .
