Can we follow on from the other games threads and just have one giant pie thread for the season instead of one come up every game?
One giant pie....now there’s an idea....

Just don’t buy them. The club clearly don’t think there’s a problem.

    They will if takings plummet.

It’s only a couple of games into the competitive season, so surely it’s far too early to be making a decision on the pies?

We should give them at least until the end of the transfer window.
Come on man, they’re mince 😂

It is an external company. Pretty sure this is the last season of a 10 year deal.

    Roll on next season.

Which company actually supplies/makes the pies? Just out of interest, I would never approach a baker in his place of employment and tell him he was crap at his job, I mean that sort of thing never happens in polite society.

I wish Hibs had just said this, rather than keep telling us each year catering is “under review” when the reality is we just have to wait until the current contract runs out.

You would just go elsewhere eh?

FWIW the pies are decent, it’s just the price I boke at.

A 10 year deal for pies. That's ridiculous. Who in their right mind would tie us down to that long a deal for a pie. Rodders.

Good for you. It’s just a wee pie at half time. Not a life statement.

I've said numerous times that I've normally taken my own food with me. Partly due to me not eating meat and not fancying anything on the menu. I've tried the chips but they're like wooden clothes pegs. Occasionally I think there's been soup on the menu but that's sold out quickly. Probably only made one pot full. Goodness knows how long it would take to me up a roll. The food is expensive mainly due to the short window that they have to sell it.

To be fair, when in ordinary life does someone eat a pie inbetween lunch and dinner? Always found it quite a strange concept.

Also, if you stuck one if these kiosks outside the stadium (on Easter Road for example) would anyone actually buy anything from it?

    Rhetorical questions I guess.

Couldn't we get some on loan from Kilmarnock? Or maybe an English Club from no lower than the top end of the Championship or the EPL, none of that lower league crap.

Sat in the east today for a change from my regular West lower seat. Had a steak pie at HT and mine wasn't bad at all.

No pie is really worth £2.90 but I still bought and enjoyed it.

These guys have still got to earn a crust. What about the pies we had ten years ago. Could they still do a job for us?

I don’t know what to tell you mate. This is a world where strange things happen. Some fish fly, some birds swim and some people don’t keep to regular mealtimes on a Saturday when they are out with their pals.
