Thanks for that. Its the closest anyone has come to explaining why some of us continue to receive a less than perfect service. So, would I be right to say this is something that neither I nor Hibs tv can pin down who is at fault so I am indeed wasting my money by subscribing? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Today was the final straw for me I'm afraid.spentt the entire game loading and reloading expecting it to work and I only managed to get audio in the end for 15 mins plus extra time,I pay every ****ing month to have video and audio coverage of the matches and the service has been an absolute disgrace.its wasn't really about the money at any point I was happy to give the money to the club even though the set-up is extremely amateur. the least you could do is ensure the video works.just cancelled it, it doens't work.i will be emailing you so you can let me know when you get some professionals running it. until then won't be wasting my time like that again.

It definitely wasn't intended as a 'look at me with my perfect stream!'
Although I do appreciate its frustrating when something's not working for you yet perfectly for others.
Hopefully they get it sorted so it works for all.

I would never suggest anyone gave up their subscription as like you it’s my only hope and connection to Hibs every week. Even when I was struggling with quality I watched or listened when I couldn’t quite follow the ball on the screen. The mrs thought I was nuts sitting in front of a screen not actually being able to make out who was who or where the ball was OR rebooting over and over in the hope I might get a better picture.
The game changer for the quality and stability in Singapore happened 3 years ago when locally they started to move everything onto fibre. Everyone is now being forced into this but I jumped on the early conversion and since then I could count on 1 hand the number of games that were a nightmare due to technical reasons. Most of those occasions were away games or sometimes games that were being televised in the UK and Hibs TV we’re picking up their stream (I think these occasions were issues in scotland).
I don’t know the situation in Bangkok or anywhere else globally with regard the local internet but that’s been my experience here. Sorry I can’t give you more guidance, like I said, i’m not techie by trade.
Maybe worth putting some of this down on an email to Hibs TV and ask for one of their tech guys to give their opinion to you. Or locally in Bangkok, if you have a tech team at work or a mate who is tech minded, they may know a way to help your experience locally. Be that internet provider or something else.
Good luck, I feel for you as I get the frustration

I've messaged everyone else privately who had said they were struggling and hopefully after using the dedicated support address - support@hibernianfc.co.uk - the external company who look after the technical side of Hibs TV were able to assist.
The media team and the matchday volunteer team aren't equipped to help in this area and it really is one for specialists.
Sorry to hear you had persistent problems getting live video. Did you use the email address I'd posted earlier in the thread? It's the most direct and quickest way to get help.
Can reassure you that of the thousands of subscribers we have the vast majority don't have any problems and those who do are usually up and running pretty quickly when they've been in touch. The same set-up is used by eight of the 12 Scottish Premiership teams, including Celtic - who clearly have deeper pockets so can pick and choose who they would work with. So the company we deal with is a long way from 'extremely amateur' and it's professionals who are running it.
Clearly it's a different ball game, quality wise, if you are a broadcast giant like BT or Sky, and that's no doubt reflected in the monthly bill.
Like I said, if you haven't used the dedicated email account then I'd urge you to give it a go. By the sounds of it you've nothing to lose.
Believe it or not, we're always looking at ways to try and improve the service and we're only going to be better off in that regard by having someone like Ron behind us given his background. Hibs TV has come a long way since its inception and there's plenty room for further improvement but it takes time and a bit of trial and error.
As ever, if you've any issues just give me a shout on here. My contact details are also listed in the website's club directory.
Cheers,
Kenny

I could not get any picture or sound, so I contacted the help team and they sent a link which worked.
I think the actual stream (when I got it and previous games) is better than last season with no buffering issues.

Problem I have is actually getting in.......it was easy in the ‘old’ system and you basically were either in or out.
With the new process you can’t decide whether you are idiotically pressing the wrong buttons, or the system has crashed.
Many of us in Oz, judging from out group Facebook, faced the same problem, and I very nearly gave up and went to bed, but eventually stumbled across the right sequence of buttons and expletives.
I repeat...people like me would be grateful for an ‘idiot’s guide’ to actually logging on.
Eventually we’ll get used to it, but at the moment it’s causing a fair bit angst.

Although my picture quality has been very good recently, I also have had problems with the new log on procedure. Apart from the crazy and illogical sequences one needs to go through, wondering what to press next (and I say this as a retired software engineer, who, unless I have gone senile in my old age, can recognise a badly constructed interface when I come across one), I have had problems getting playback at the final stage. I used Edge for a couple of games and it worked fine until last week. I switched to Chrome and that solved the problem, but this week Chrome would not playback, however Edge worked fine again. This is not a transmission problem, but something is not right with the current setup. As for emailing support, I am too busy trying to watch the game to start emailing people and from past experience I find I can usually find a solution faster than support can.
