Wonder if he will start today, looks like he's in the match day squad

Even though Whittaker had a great match v St Mirren, and I am sure he could mix it with Morton - having Stevenson and (maybe?) Gray back gives us a massive lift and such a good base to build from the back.

so glad to see him back today but he tired in the end, that was only to be expected though.

He will be back to his best after a couple of games!

    Welcome back Lewis.

I thought he looked rusty first half, better in the second, tired in ET. Will have done him good though.

Impressed he managed 120 minutes and still looked fairly fresh at the end.

He was poor 1st half but came on to a game in the 2nd and ET. Glad to have him back.

Getting 120 minutes today will do him good as he’ll definitely be needed next week with Mackie suspended.

As others have said he wasn’t at his best in the first half but he had an excellent 2nd half.

Look I love Lewis, but he was poor today, the winger gave him a hard time, obviously needed the run out.

He is generally just boringly dependable but my god how much do we need him. It’s been my opinion for a few seasons that if we were going to upgrade the back 4 it would be Stevenson’s position that would change. I’ve changed my mind, it’s comforting seeing him there. It was actually great to see him and Gray back today, they both needed game time and this one came at the right time for both of them. It will have done them the world of good ahead of the league game next week.

I’d look fitter than vela. Looks like he’s going through the motions.

It was a better day to bring him back so he can start getting the match fitness he needs than it would have been to reintroduce him against a premier team. He's still first choice left back and a great club servant.

Struggled to get going in the first half, but second half was much more like his usual dependable self. Standard Lewis Stevenson performance today that will always be a good thing in my book

    Took his goal well...
Was shocking first half but began looking much more like himself in the second half.
Just good to have him back.

I am a fan of Stevenson, but he had a shocker today. Winger got the better of him repeatedly.

Really?? thought Vela did well and worked hard clearly was struggling with knock in second half but battled on. Needs a more defensive guy next to him as to me more of a box to box player. Like his attitude and took his goal well. The very opposite of going through the motions.

Struggled big time first half against Nicky Cadden who was imo their best player. Steadier second half and extra time did well to last 120 mins.

Great to see him back, he struggled with the pace at times hence a few lunging swipe type attempted tackles that he never connected with, needs game time now to get back to his best.

Brutal first half but much better 2nd half... Would have been rusty as expected with being out but still looked fresher at the end than most.

    Welcome back Lewis
