He was probably on around £30k a week at Sunderland so I highly doubt we would have been even close to being able to afford him.

Looks like he’s on trial with VVV Venlo in the Netherlands. Hibs could probably only afford to pay him 10% of what he was on at Sunderland last year.

A lot younger that the guy Hearts just signed and some folk on here are saying he's a great signing. Cattermole played in the EPL, has bags of experience. Think he'd be a cracking signing. Doubt we could afford him though.

He’d be a good signing. His last salary at Sunderland is nowhere near what he’s going to get now. I doubt that the Dutch club are offering a big salary. Hibs could be competitive against them salary wise but apparently we are skint so there’s no chance of anyone coming in.

Why do you think he’d be a good signing?
Yes he has EPL experience but he was often seen as a liability. I think it might be like signing Joey Barton, and about as successful.

His last experience in the Premier League was being the weakest link in a relegated side.
He was then the weakest link in the side relegated from the Championship.
It would be fair to say it's a "no" from me.
I always liked the look of Ethan Robson at Sunderland. He played well against us at Easter Road and has looked good whenever I've seen him play for their first team. He was at Dundee for the second half of last season and by all accounts was poor for them in a relegated side. Martin Boyle and Jim Leighton amongst others have struggled at Dundee though, so not sure how much weight that holds.
