Anybody else with tickets had them cancelled?

I had a pair for the final but just got an email saying with the reduced capacity, after a ballot they've cancelled my tickets. gutted.

I've still got a pair for England's opening group game (I live in London) but I'm wondering if they'll get canned as well.

I had tickets for all the Hampden games, all my tickets got cancelled. Its ****. Cancelling tickets to then resell them for more money

It's nothing to do with selling them again for more money.

More to do with covid and reduced capacity...

It is but I’m sure I read that the tickets that were being cancelled were “the cheap seats” so not really a ballot.

They had sold 10,000 tickets for Hampden already they have cancelled a lot of them and and now selling 8,000 tickets, which cost more than previously. What part of that is different to what I said?

that sucks. I'd been expecting to lose them but it's still a kick in the stones when the email comes through.

They sold a lot more than 10k in the initial sales, way more than the new reduced capacity of 12500. The participating nations are guaranteed 16% of the capacity. With more than the capacity having already been sold, they had to cancel some. The VAST majority of the tickets sold as the PNA(participating nations allowance) are the 50 euro tickets. I believe only 200 of the near 3000 that went the SSC are the 185 euro category.

I have huge sympathy for those who have had tickets cancelled but there was no solution that wouldn't upset some. I have mates who have travelled all over the World for 20-30 years following Scotland, some who were in Kazakhstan for that defeat, who can't get tickets. I'm thankful I got for all three.

nightmare. especially after they've been sitting on our money for the best part of 2 years.

Hopefully you'll get the Hampden ones. I'm hoping that having not heard anything about my Wembley tickets they should be ok, the games are only 3 weeks away now.....

I know mate. You had the final so you must be raging!

Good luck yourself as well, hopefully we'll be able to get to at least a game each.

    cheers bud.

I'm trying to be philosophical about it, I've had a pretty good pandemic compared to a lot of people so if the worst of it is losing some football tickets it's not so bad.

I am also absolutely raging about it.

These two thoughts are fighting it out at the moment.

I know they're staggering entry at Hampden, but does anyone know if they're doing the same at the end of the game?

I’m not speaking with any information but surely they’re absolutely bound to be? Otherwise it’ll defeat the purpose, and it’ll actually be worse at the end as far more people leave at the same time.

You would think so. My entry time is 11 - 11.30am which is a bit of a PITA when you consider it's a 2pm kick off.

Hopefully it isn't the same when leaving.

And I thought my 1200-1230 was bad. Ouch.

That's quite staggering for something that's only 25% capacity...

I really hope we're not still at that stage come next season. Not remotely appealing!

I thought I’d share this reply I got when I enquired about tickets for the match at Wembley…………….

Thanks for your enquiry in to the England vs Scotland fixture here at Wembley Stadium.

At this stage our availability is incredibly limited but we do have one option remaining and the details are as follows :-

Prestige Platinum Hospitality - €2,600pp ex VAT

    • Private table for 2 or more guests (available on even numbers only)
    • Access to facility from 3 hours prior to kick off until 90 minutes post final whistle
    • Seats positioned on the halfway line
    • High-end cuisine
    • Inclusive bar of Champagne, fine wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks
    • Live entertainment and commemorative gift

I hope this information helps but please do let me know if you’ve got any questions or would like to book.

I’m just trying to work out how many glasses of fine wine I’d have to drink to get my money’s worth.

Anyone know where I could get tickets for one of the Scotland Hampden games ? Appreciate they would be resale and at a premium.

I tried stubhub etc and they are c £400 each for behind the goal no row numbers so not sure where exactly and how legitimate. Desperate to take my son along.

Not sure how they could be sold on or at least how you could trust someone selling them.

When you download the ticket via the app it asks you to confirm it's for you or if you're transferring it to someone else. There are no physical tickets, that I know of, as I've paid extra to get physical tickets as a memento and these won't arrive until after the games have taken place.

Would the person selling not just put your name and email into the app?
