Faycal Rherras puts Qarabag in front against Linfield. Another blast from the past, Abdellah Zoubir, also playing for Qarabag.

Huns drew 0-0, Celtic winning 1-0.

I really don’t understand the Europa League. How they two are playing at this stage of Europe is beyond me.. and how Linfield are close to getting into the groups is further beyond me.

Because Linfield are better than anything we have to offer other than Celtic and Rangers?

Surely not? I know nothing about NI football.. but I’d have suspected them to be top end Championship bottom end SPL level?

Good number of posters on Scottish football forums simply dismiss other countries and yet the evidence is right there in front of us that they do better than us in the Europa League (apart from the ugly sisters) and certainly better than us at International level. No different really to comparisons to the MLS in that I've seen posters on here state that we would be quite capable of winning the MLS. Lol and lol again, I do watch it and we wouldn't get near it.....

I’d agree about the MLS. I’ve been to a couple of games and I’d put most teams between the OF and the rest. The better teams are probably as good as them.

There not, they came threw the champion path of the draw to get this far.

Lost to Rosenborg in the champion league first round

Knocked out HB Torshavn (Faro Island)

    Knocked out Sutjeska (Montenegro)

Nothing great about them nothing I would expect hibs not to be able deal with

It's crazy. Dundalk a couple of years back and now possibly Linfield. Not Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts etc are no where near.

Equally mental that those two guys are playing a higher level of football.

Is Ryan McGivern not at Linfield now?

I seem to remember someone mentioning that a while back.

He was an unused sub tonight.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll

    He'll die before he's sold.

That will be how Qarabag lost to Linfield

Celtic v AEK - easy win for the green weegies. Celtic should go all out until they get a goal. Can't see this AEK team being able to score anywhere near 4 goals. Belgian guy on the left was honkin' again, Simunovic was pants and Scott Brown is showing signs of wear. Their front 4, Christie, Forrest, Johnston and Edouard were very good again. A team of 2 halfs

Legia Warsaw v Rangers was a tough match. Still in the balance and if Legia can keep Rangers out for 70 minutes in the return The Rangers will be worried

Could you imagine the trail of destruction Ibrahamovic would leave rampaging through SPL defences?

I go to the San Jose Earthquakes quite frequently so see a fair bit of MLS and to each their own, but excluding perhaps the LA team's Hibs in my opinion would comfortably beat the rest. New England Revolution, Columbus Crew, DC United etc are all fairly pants.

To put things into perspective, Hearts reject Perry Kitchen has been a mainstay in the Galaxy team and viewed as one of their best players, for the past few seasons now.

The MLS have a few good standalone players, yes, but teams on a whole, nah, easily on level with non old firm SPFL teams.

I disagree.MLS is basically a latino league. Lots of clever wee technically good players. No strength and play acting all over the pitch (field).

It's ok and decent in its own way but not professional football as we know it.

What about Atlanta? From what I saw of them last season they were streets ahead of everyone.

You should check the ”433 or to be 433?” thread disguising itself as the the summer transfer thread 😉

Easy solution is to skip to the last page and work back to the first post of the day. There are dates and times on all posts so it should be easy to navigate to where you want to be.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
